Rumble and tumble
Several ECW Superstars took part in Sundays Royal Rumble, including WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison, Big Daddy V and CM Punk. Morrison entered at No. 6, with Tommy Dreamer right behind him at 7. Dreamer was eliminated by Batista, while Punk joined the match at No. 12. The Miz stepped in at No. 16, and was eventually pulled over the top rope by Hornswoggle, who was waiting under the ring.
Shelton Benjamin entered at No. 17, and ECWs Gold Standard was quickly eliminated by some Sweet Chin Music by Shawn Michaels. Big Daddy V joined the Rumble at No. 24, looking to make a monstrous impact, but was eventually eliminated by Triple H. Newly crowned ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero drew No. 26, and Elijah Burke was the final ECW Superstar to enter the Rumble at No. 28. Morrison was eliminated by Kane, Chavo eliminated Punk, and Burke was eliminated by Triple H. Former WWE Champion John Cena shockingly entered the Rumble at No. 30, and threw the final ECW Superstar, ECW Champ Chavo Guerrero, over the top ropes. The Champ eventually was victorious, and won an opportunity at a world championship match at WrestleMania.

All in the family
The Ultimate Opportunist retained his gold at Royal Rumble Sunday night with a little help from the love of his life, Vickie Guerrero. The SmackDown General Manager fell victim to a Rey Mysterio 619 while trying to protect Edge. As she lay on the ground, Mysterio went airborne off the ropes, but Edge caught him mid-air with a devastating spear, pinning him to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. How will Edge and the Guerrero family seek revenge for the injury Vickie has suffered?
Ric Flairs fate was in his own hands on Sunday night, as his career was on the line at the Royal Rumble. The Nature Boy was victorious over MVP, defeating him with a Figure Four Leglock. MVP tapped out, and the legends career continues, but whats next for Flair and the United States Champion?
Several SmackDown Superstars took part in Sundays 30-man Royal Rumble Match, including Undertaker, who drew No. 1; Batista, who picked No. 8; and Hornswoggle, who entered at No. 9, but spent most of the match under the ring. The Great Khali drew No. 4, and was the second contender eliminated when Undertaker pushed him over the top rope. Enemies Chuck Palumbo and Jamie Noble entered at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively, with Palumbo eliminating Noble. CM Punk later tossed Palumbo over the top rope.
Kane joined the Rumble at spot No. 20, eliminating Jimmy Superfly Snuka and Rowdy Roddy Piper. The Worlds Strongest Man, Mark Henry, drew No. 25. A shillelagh-wielding Finlay entered at 27, going after Big Daddy V and Henry, who were roughing up Hornswoggle. Finlay was disqualified, with Hornswoggle exiting at the same time. Batista and Kane were the last SmackDown Superstars standing in the ring with two Raw Superstars, and the Big Red Machine was eliminated by Batista and Triple H, who entered at spot No. 29. The final three were Batista, Triple H and the shocking No. 30 draw, John Cena. Triple H eliminated Batista, with Cena claiming victory by lifting The Cerebral Assasin over the top rope. Whats next for the SmackDown Superstars who were one of 30 men tossed out of the Rumble ring?
Also, on next Fridays SmackDown, will we find out Michelle McCools condition, after her supposed best friend Chuck Palumbos actions caused her to be taken away in an ambulance? Doctors said she may have suffered a concussion. But what is the status of the even more strained relationship between Jamie Noble and Palumbo, considering his meltdown on Friday?
