Rumble and tumble

Several ECW Superstars took part in Sunday’s Royal Rumble, including WWE Tag Team Champions The Miz and John Morrison, Big Daddy V and CM Punk. Morrison entered at No. 6, with Tommy Dreamer right behind him at 7. Dreamer was eliminated by Batista, while Punk joined the match at No. 12. The Miz stepped in at No. 16, and was eventually pulled over the top rope by Hornswoggle, who was waiting under the ring.

Shelton Benjamin entered at No. 17, and ECW’s “Gold Standard” was quickly eliminated by some Sweet Chin Music by Shawn Michaels. Big Daddy V joined the Rumble at No. 24, looking to make a monstrous impact, but was eventually eliminated by Triple H. Newly crowned ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero drew No. 26, and Elijah Burke was the final ECW Superstar to enter the Rumble at No. 28. Morrison was eliminated by Kane, Chavo eliminated Punk, and Burke was eliminated by Triple H. Former WWE Champion John Cena shockingly entered the Rumble at No. 30, and threw the final ECW Superstar, ECW Champ Chavo Guerrero, over the top ropes. The Champ eventually was victorious, and won an opportunity at a world championship match at WrestleMania.

What’s next for ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero in the Land of the Extreme? How about Shelton Benjamin, who was seemingly unstoppable prior to the Rumble. What’s on the mind of ECW’s Gold Standard now?

Tuesday night’s Best Body Contest turned into a Divas brawl, as Lena stood by Layla’s side when she attacked the winner, Kelly Kelly. Now that it appears Layla has an ally, how will this affect her former best friend, Kelly Kelly?

ECW’s newest Superstar, Kofi Kingston, is ready to take care of any trouble that comes to paradise on Tuesday nights. He earned an Extremely impressive victory in his first ECW appearance. How will this Jamaican Superstar make his Extreme impact?

Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on the next ECW on Sci Fi, broadcast in HDTV, Tuesday at 10/9 CT. Also, be sure to catch ECW in its entirety every week on WWE.com, available from Wednesday to the following Monday afternoon.

All in the family

The Ultimate Opportunist retained his gold at Royal Rumble Sunday night with a little help from the love of his life, Vickie Guerrero. The SmackDown General Manager fell victim to a Rey Mysterio 619 while trying to protect Edge. As she lay on the ground, Mysterio went airborne off the ropes, but Edge caught him mid-air with a devastating spear, pinning him to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. How will Edge and the “Guerrero family” seek revenge for the injury Vickie has suffered?

Ric Flair’s fate was in his own hands on Sunday night, as his career was on the line at the Royal Rumble. The “Nature Boy” was victorious over MVP, defeating him with a Figure Four Leglock. MVP tapped out, and the legend’s career continues, but what’s next for Flair and the United States Champion?

Several SmackDown Superstars took part in Sunday’s 30-man Royal Rumble Match, including Undertaker, who drew No. 1; Batista, who picked No. 8; and Hornswoggle, who entered at No. 9, but spent most of the match under the ring. The Great Khali drew No. 4, and was the second contender eliminated when Undertaker pushed him over the top rope. Enemies Chuck Palumbo and Jamie Noble entered at Nos. 9 and 10, respectively, with Palumbo eliminating Noble. CM Punk later tossed Palumbo over the top rope.

Kane joined the Rumble at spot No. 20, eliminating Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka and “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. The World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, drew No. 25. A shillelagh-wielding Finlay entered at 27, going after Big Daddy V and Henry, who were roughing up Hornswoggle. Finlay was disqualified, with Hornswoggle exiting at the same time. Batista and Kane were the last SmackDown Superstars standing in the ring with two Raw Superstars, and the Big Red Machine was eliminated by Batista and Triple H, who entered at spot No. 29. The final three were Batista, Triple H and the shocking No. 30 draw, John Cena. Triple H eliminated Batista, with Cena claiming victory by lifting The Cerebral Assasin over the top rope. What’s next for the SmackDown Superstars who were one of 30 men tossed out of the Rumble ring?

Also, on next Friday’s SmackDown, will we find out Michelle McCool’s condition, after her supposed best friend Chuck Palumbo’s actions caused her to be taken away in an ambulance? Doctors said she may have suffered a concussion. But what is the status of the even more strained relationship between Jamie Noble and Palumbo, considering his meltdown on Friday? And finally, what Superstars will carry momentum from Royal Rumble into the SmackDown arena?

Find out the answers to all these questions and more on SmackDown, Friday at 8/7 CT on The CW Network

What;s going to be so great about NWO?

Cena wins the belt back which makes Orton look like more of a puss.

WWE makes another young talent look like a fool(Kennedy).

Edge/Mysterio in like a 8 minute match.

Can't say the other one unless it's been announced.

The RAW EC is the only thing that looks interesting, everything else is meh.

Plus, Now that it's been announced. A shitty SD! EC with Taker winning.

Too predictable of a card for me.

eh, u gotta be a mark and pretend you dont know whats gonna happen, or you wont enjoy the WWE nowadays lol. And its sorta like a movie, or show. Yea you know who is gonna win at the end, its the preformance and story to get there that makes it worth its meddle

Yup.

Too bad he'll be hot shotted to RAW and fed to Cena after Mania:(

I dont think they are THAT stupid, to mortgage their future. They have kept Cena and Kennedy seperate for the most part, IId think they would do the same with MVP. I hope. I Kennedy and MVP being fed to the cenabeast may be more of a reality, since lashley left, becuase really, who do they have as far as star power who hasnt already been used into the ground???

Khali attempts corskscrew moonsault from atop the chamber... Mark out move right their
