Legend's House: The Show with No Home

It's...Baylariat!

The WWE Legend's House is a reality show that's similar to 'The Real World' only with WWE Legends. The show has had episodes taped and was planned on being debuted on the WWE network. Now that the WWE Network may be on hold until 2015, the higher ups at WWE are shopping the show around to air possibly as soon as this summer.

SyFy was tentatively scheduled to pick up the show last year, but didn't do so and is now being rumored to be a network in the running to air the show along with Bravo! in the United States.

The show is supposed to have legends like Mean Gene Okerlund, Howard Finkel, Hillbilly Jim, Roddy Piper, Jimmy Hart, Tony Atlas, and Pat Patterson as guests in the house.

My question is whether or not this is a show worthy of being put on TV? Would any of you watch it?

Those were stars of the 80's and 90's, with Patterson even stretching back to the '70's. If the aim of the show is to reach the young people who like wrestling today, it will be a tough sell. Many of these young folks are tired of the WWE stars of today, so I don't know why they'd be interested in yesterday's heroes.

If the company wants to lure back people who were fans back in the era these guys performed, that's a dicier question. After all, many of those fans deserted the sport, didn't they? On the other hand, there's always a market for nostalgia, and it might be enjoyable to see these guys on our TV screens again.

Of course, that's IF they can get folks to tune in and check it out, which is always a big question. Frankly, there is too much WWE programming available today. I consider myself a fan, yet I can't watch everything they put out there each week.

"Legends" would be one more program. I'm sure I'd take a look for the sake of curiosity, but I doubt it would become a staple of my weekly TV diet.....unless there is something so compelling going on that makes it irresistible. The question is whether they can lure back enough old-time fans to WWE programming to make this show viable; it would be a heck of a boon to the current product if they could.

This pretty much sums up my sentiments toward the idea. Now if they had Honky Tonk Man and Iron Sheik, that'd be a different story. . .

It would be very hard to watch Legends house. Todays Fans younger people in general have no idea who Hillbilly Jim,Mean Gene,Tony Atlas,Pat Patterson, the Fink are. They do know about Roddy Piper only because their parents have told em about him. I watch a lot of WWE Raw Smackdown and Main event but i dont think as much as a fan as i am i would watch it.

I just dont see it thriving nor do i see the WWE network taking off in my lifetime!

I would check it out one or two times. It would have to be really good though to get me to continue watching it. I agree with Sally that there is too much WWE programming right now. I too am a lifelong fan, and I can't possibly watch every show. I think it is going to be tough for this show to catch on with the majority though.
