Legendary the best thing for John Cena

Occasional Pre-Show
Now i'm not a Cena hater in fact i like Cena i just find the 5 moves of doom thing to be annoying. Now I just watched Legendary and I am a high school wrestler and i hav to say that the wrestling technique in the movie really wasnt bad and some of the moves Cena did in the movie he's been doin on RAW the last few weeks so my question is this do yall think that Cena doing Legendary finally gave him a little amateur wrestling experience that he desperately needed to be somewat respected in the ring?

Also Legendary wasn't bad if yall aint seen it u should watch it

No not really, the reason I say this is because going into that movie John Ceba laready had these experiences. Most wrestlers get some sort of amateur background before they get into the big leagues. Cena happened to be one of them and had a little wrestling background before becoming a pro wrestler, like most wrestlers have before they go pro. Some obviously have a lack of this like The Great Khali or even some other terrible competitors, but the ones that are always good at what they do in that ring have some sort of background that they built their career off of. Cena had this experience going into the role he had in Legendary as a result of his real life passion, this was basically a perfect role for him. Legendary didn't teach Cena these things, he gained these experiences way before that movie was even though up.

Here's the thing. If you watch the John Cena vs HBK match on Raw a few years back. You will notice that Cena DOES know how to wrestle. But WWE and Vince McMahon hates the word wrestling, they call it sports entertainment. Therefore, Cena does only 5 moves because MOST fans believe it or not would rather see his 5 moves then 5 knuckle shuffle, it makes money. Now for hardcore wrestling fans....they wanna vomit when they see it every Monday night...

i think cena should go heel, put an emphasis on the whole "5 moves of doom" thing, own internet fans, and make them realize they were dumb for hating him for the majority of his career. that would be classic.

but as far as the thread starter goes, i have seen the movie, and it was pretty terrible. his worst easily. i dont know too much about amateur wrestling, but to me, it seems like thats one of the few reasons one would enjoy that movie. i doubt it had anything to do his current moveset though.

Well if Cena turned heel we would probly see more moves due to the fact that 90% of the time the heels dominate the majority of the match Cena is basically limited as a face the same is with Triple H he did more moves as a heel then as a face I believe i read it in Shawn Michaels book that he was very nervous going into his first ever heel run because he would control most of the match and really dictate wat the face did so a Cena heel turn=More moves

Cena knows way more moves than he shows. He doesn't need the 5 moves of doom. Hogan didn't either, but watch any of his old WWF matches. He was the biggest star with the shittiest matches. I'll even give Cena one up of Hogan...he's better in the ring. HOLY SHIT!!!! Yeah, i fucking said it. I'm drunk and fuck it. But it's the damn truth.
Cena is a formula. His 5 moves of doom is what all the kiddies wait for and pop for when he starts.
Yeah, Cena would get more respect from "wrestling" fans, but why should he give a fuck? He's the biggest name in the business, making ******ed money doing exactly what he's doing. Why should he change? More power to the guy.

Cena didn't learn anything in Legendary go look his matches when he was known as Prototype or when he first got into the WWE against Kurt Angle.

Cena knows how to wrestle but WWE don't allow their face to do it. Vince think that the fans want to feel at home ad just want to see the same move every time so they can relate more.

What Legendary did thought is give the chance to Cena to show more move that he knows to promote indirectly his movie.

it doesn't matter if Cena showed his collegiate/amateur skills. I see an age old misconception in this thread. That the wrestling pipe lines began in the amateur art and ends with pro wrasslin. It doesn't, they are two distinct sports. The relationship between ametuer wrestling and professional wrestling is not like the relationship between minor league baseball and major league baseball. Cena getting the likes of Nexus, Sheamus, or Randy Orton on the surface for some Greco-Roman discipline is not going to go over well or be appreciated by your average pro wrestling fan.. "Sports entertainment" aficionados will simply be lost outright..

The movie was lame, it was cliche, and the positioning of "John Cena" in the opening creds/advertisements followed by that obscure broad and THEN "Danny Glover" was enough to turn me off. The movie isn't even about a movie its about a wrestler trying to pull a Dwayne Johnson.. The movie is trash and i will any i have nt seen it but "WWE Productions" or whatever seems so amateurish. Its as bad as watching a "SyFy" original.

I don't think the movie taught Cena anything about how to wrestle. Cena has already learned the tricks of the trade years ago. I don't think a movie will convince even the biggest Cena haters to cheer him. It seems the only way for Cena to get his haters to cheer him is if he has new character. That character could be heel or face. The movie may help Cena land other films, but considering it was a flop at the box office I don't think Hollywood will be knocking down his door.
