An old school overhead view, new gameplay mechanics such as interacting with walls, an "Item Meter" and a story that apparently takes place after "A Link To The Past". It's what Nintendo does best these days. Take the old and give it a new twist while keeping the nostalgia.

Well I'm more than thrilled to see and play this. I recently found an old copy of Minish Cap which I'm adequately enjoying. I'm thinking that this game will be a big hit as it looks really old school however with the modern twists will be entertaining. I'm hoping for some good quests, interesting dungeons, and new weapons. If it's a sequel to a link to the least even better as there's a lot to work with there and the expansion of the Zelda universe is never a bad thing.

A Link to the Past is one of my all time favorite games so you'd think that I would be beyond excited for this...

If only it wasn't a 3DS exclusive. Honestly, I'd probably buy a Wii U to play it. But handhelds aren't my bag.

Of course, I want to buy this as soon as it comes out, as with all Zelda games. I just bought "Hyrule Historia" at a local bookshop recently and my interest in the Zelda series is completely regenerated.

My question is, as a Zelda geek, where does this game lie within the Zelda Timeline(s)? A sequel to "A Link To The Past" could mean anything.

It's been shown to be the very same overworld as A Link To The Past so chances are that timeline-wise, it's a direct sequel with enough of a time gap for a new Link and Zelda to surface.
