legacy

ok i know a thread talking about them has been done a couple of times but this one is about an idea i have for them so here it goes. first off i like both legacy and orton but i dont like the way wwe use legacy with orton they should of already had a couple of belts. so i say break them up and seperate all of them one on raw, smackdown and ecw and let rhodes and ted build themelves up then after a couple of years after the tag divison has turned around around reunite them and say legacy is back better than ever and have orton come out and say yes and try to reteam with them but ted and rhodes would say hell no and beat the hell out of orton. i think this would get them over big time with the crowd now go ahead and add to it. so how bout it whats up

I am going to have to say a HUGE NO for this one. Simply because once you split up a tag team or stable, it should be over. It is one of the worst mistakes to bring back what has been done before. Remember the incarnated DX? It was great to have them around again but it was never as good as the first time around. The only way that your idea works is if this was pre-Legacy. Maybe build them up before creating the stable & then make Legacy but once a stable is done... it is over.

There are many other reasons that could be dealt with in explaining why this idea is very, very bad... but I think I only need the one above to justify my answers. Bad idea for Legacy & also a bad idea for a thread. Can be deemed ohkay for a post in a fantasy thread though...

I have to agree with the both of you. It would be fun in the future to see DiBiase and Rhodes team up and beat on Orton, but if the WWE is to do that, they should do that sooner than later.

yeah chris masters WASNT A SHOCK why cos they said a few weeks ago that he resigned but hes on raw the a show i didnt see that coming i think legacy might be over soon this year cos ted is going to be in marine 2 so he will leave legacy a face so legacy might be over then

Sorry but for whatever reason I can't start a new thread but it shocked me that Chris Masters came back. Did that surprise any of you? And do you think he'll be thrown into the U.S title picture?

Legacy turning on Orton now would make little sense. The purpose of a stable is to get the members over. I for one care about DiBiase and Rhodes about as much as I did when they beat Hardcore Holly twelve months ago. The stable hasn't done it's job yet.

I'll use Evolution as a comparison. At the moment Legacy has been evolution during Triple H's fued with Goldberg. This time aroung HHH is playing Goldberg. Rhodes and DiBiase have just been cannon fodder for HHH. Legacy hasn't yet reached the point where the stable members are having their own worthwhile fueds. Legacy vs Jericho/Big Show isn't comparable to Flair/Batista vs the Dudleys. There has been no equivelent of Orton vs Foley. Turning Legacy on Orton now would make them like Mark Henry. They'd get good pops whilst they were beating top heels, but once they tried to move past that no-one would care. DiBiase and Rhodes need to be built up more first, but I fear that Ted will turn prematurely to promote 'The Marine'.

I found it odd that Cody had a match vs Triple H, and Ted was used as the run in guy last night.

Since when was a match DQ when the person in the ring, hit someone who tried to attack them from the outside? Is this a new rule? Believe me I'm happy Triple H didnt beat the clock, but seriously When the Fuck did that rule change? I remember countless times in the past were if part of a tag team was wrestling a solo match, and the other tried to hop in the ring, and got smacked back out of it, the match wasnt called in a DQ, it kept going.

As for the topic on hand. Its too soon to break up Legacy, because they havent done anything major. Ortons had the WWE Title almost the entire time the groups been together, but the other two havent done anything but do the job to every top face that Orton feuds with. They havent had tag gold in.....8 months? Their pretty worthless if you ask me, and its a shame because their both pretty talented kids. Hopefully they start booking them correctly, so there time in Legacy isnt as the two guys who got their ass beat week in and week out for 18 months.

I think it would of made a world's difference if Triple H wasn't in the main event scene. When they beating on Cena or whoever that isn't HHH, it kinda looks viable. Batista actually helped more to give credibility to Legacy in his 3 months than the 6+ months of Triple H.
When we see Dibiase/Rhodes vs HHH in a handicap match, it feels like HHH is the favorite to win. How messed up is that.
I think even if they are just Orton's lackeys, it would of maybe helped more if Orton was feuding with someone other than HHH and more in likes of a face Big Show or an up and comer like MVP.
And it would of helped the faces get over more as well.
Imagine MVP almost beating Orton only for Legacy to interfere. And then getting a actual beat down cause you know Triple H would just kill them all after the match is called off for a interference. MVP would get cheers for being soooo close to the WWE championship, and Legacy would get heat for actually doing something meaningful.

OR

Have HHH and HBK/CENA feud with Jericho and Big Show with Legacy on the side. This opens up the main event slot for a fresh face. Then have a 3 way with HHH/HBK, Jericho/Show, and Legacy and have Legacy go over. In a 3 way it will be believable and it would give instant credibility to Legacy beating HHHHBKY2JBS

Personally, it's been almost a year now that legacy as been formed and where at the same point we were a year ago. Orton is the star of the group and Dibiasie and rhodes are the 2 jobbers that are too stupid to figure out that it does nothing for them to stay with Orton. Last year when Dibiasie join up with Rhodes are tought this was a good decent tag team. Then they Added Manu to the mix and i tought that maybe this would be a nice little faction. It reminded me aof the four horseman. You had Dibiasie as the leader, manu as the enforcer and Rhodes all they needed was a fourth member and Sim Snuka would have fitted very well with the other three and the faction would have probably work. But the fact of the mtter is that The WWE doesn'T want to push new talent so the put they took out dibiasie so that he could make his movie and rhodes was put with orton while the other 2 got fired. Then Dibiasie came back and instead of being put in a feud with Orton, he got stuck join him and since then it'S they've been in Orton shadows doing nothing that matters. Then a couple of weeks ago, they had a match between Dibiasie and Orton and i was hoping that this would be the time where Dibiasie get to shine and finally get out of Orton's shadow but no, after having a great match against orton he went right back into the shadow of Orton. The fact of the matter is this, to be able to develops Dibiasie and Rhodes into mid-card guy, they need to break up legacy and break them up as soon as possible and it need to be dibiasie and Rhodes turning on Orton because right now nobody cares about them and what dibiasie and Rhodes said at Night of champions will probably come true if creative don'T do something quick. Peoples will not cared if they win or lose. Last year, these had a good thing going and where being marketing as star, what a difference a year makes. Now, Dibiasie and Rhodes are at the same place as the Spirit Squad was a couples of year back, getting destroy by every main eventer on the roster and losing credability with every loss.

first off i like both legacy and orton but i dont like the way wwe use legacy with orton they should of already had a couple of belts.

Right. No one cares about a heel stable that can't even beat a old, beat-up, retired Ric Flair.

so i say break them up and seperate all of them one on raw, smackdown and ecw and let rhodes and ted build themelves up then after a couple of years

Dibiase is the only one who could handle going as a singles star, and even then he would have a rough go at it. He has only really had one competitive match, and that was the awesome one against Orton on Raw. Rhodes, however, is a little bitch. The match against Triple H wasn't a complete massacre, and it helped. No one really expects any one of them to compete without the other running in to help. And until that expectation fades, neither one can compete credibly as singles stars.

The only big feud that can get them over enough to work as Singles wrestlers is this coming one with DX. It can do one of two things. DX can make them look strong and credible; after which they can easily break apart and wrestle separately. Or DX can make them look like chumps and break them every match they have. It's all up to Trips and HBK. Some may find that reassuring, others outright frightening.
