Knux and His "Family" of Carnival Friends, "The Menagerie"

Personally I don't care for them simple because it is kind of silly but whatever, maybe it will be okay. I don't see it as a Wyatt ripoff though as they are doing something clearly different. Yeah it is his "family" but who cares, that term has been used tons is wrestling. I just think we are past these hokey gimmicks where a carnival freak wrestles. What's next, an accountant or maybe a dentist?

That's exactly what I was thinking, TNA need to create there own characters rather than try to recreate (and I do mean TRY to recreate) the creative ideas of wwe. This and the Eric Young title win just screams desperation. Wyatt family rip-off.

Take yo ass to the wwe section and on triple h nuts :lmao:. I saw the Wyatt's and this group is in no way similar to them. Do the Wyatt's got a woman? The Wyatt's is farm type southern folk. This group is clown crazy type.

Well I gotta give credit to TNA for trying whatever they can to get the Menagerie over. They light the arena differently during their matches (a la Sin Cara) and play the Menagerie's theme music over their matches. Points for effort but if they're gonna loop their theme song over their matches then the Menagerie needs to get a new theme because it got annoying pretty damn fast. But I'm a little confused. I thought the whole point of Knux bringing the Menagerie to TNA was to make money in order to fund the destroyed family carnival. I would think that winning matches would be higher on their priority list and that they shouldn't have been as happy as they were about Crazy Steve's disqualification loss to Kazarian on this last episode of Impact. If Kazarian is really on his way out of the company, I doubt having him just eat the pin would've been such a big deal.

People are saying the Menagerie is like the Wyatts? What in the world are you talking about? It's like saying a piece of toast is like a coffee table. No, they're not alike at all other than being strange, and even that's in a completely different way.

I haven't seen enough to make a decision on them but there's one major plus to them: we haven't seen this gimmick to this degree before. It's something fresh and something for a guy like Knux to do. The problem with someone like Knux is that he's really just a big power guy without anything to make him stand out. Giving him these over the top people to help him stand out is a great move and if nothing else we get to look at Rebel. The whole thing works well, though it's not perfect.

For the love of God, they're not even hiding it anymore. First they put the title on Eric Young because he bears a passing resemblance to Daniel Bryan and the story was approximately right. They put together Black Evolution. Now, they're doing their own Wyatts. Can anyone, at this point, in good conscience, honestly look at this and say they're not just slapping together the same things the WWE is doing with pieces they already have and that bear a vague resemblance to the same people doing them in the WWE?

I don't want to, and nearly can't believe, that TNA would legitimately be ripping storylines from the WWE, but honestly, it's getting harder and harder to tell myself that.

I said it before - how long until a cadre of unlikely heroes is feuding with Black Evolution? How long until the Menagerie is trying to convert someone to its side, or trying to corrupt them from their ideals?

And also, once again, I'll make my constant TNA protest - they had time and money for this shit, and not AJ Styles.

If you really think the Menagerie are a ripoff of the Wyatt family then you really need to start running down the WWE a bit more for ripping off factions like the Dungeon of Doom, the Flock, the Newchurch, the Ministry of Darkness and even Right to Censor because all of these factions have fare more in common with the Wyatts then what the Menagerie do.

So, after going back and rewatching their stuffs, I really like this faction even more because, like it or not, it's a breath of fresh air to wrestling, period. There isn't anything like it anywhere else in America that I am aware of. Not saying it won't get old, but it is still fresh right now, and was fun. Even the last match with Kaz VS Crazy Steve was pretty funny. I disagree with playing the music all through the match as it seems to make things more chaotic and confusing, but then again, perhaps that is what they are looking for. Oh, and I still stand by what I said earlier, this group is NOTHING like the Wyatts. That will be all.
