I believe the fact that only a slur calling Irish people 'stupid drunks' is a term of endearment in the land I like to refer to as 'Down South'

The term "Up North" is fairly common here too. Don't start telling me that we have something in common apart from Rugby.... Funniest thing is to see a friend of mine try and explain the difference between us when we go on holiday.
