KB Answers Wrestling Questions

Sorry but if you've been asked before, but the rumble is the best time to win some money (apart from the year that HHH vs Reigns at mania was locked in forever) and with Reigns v Lesnar locked in for mania and elimination chamber a raw PPV I'm hoping that the bookies are going to be sucked in on reigns winning and I can sneak in and back a Smackdown superstar winning.

So KB, who you got for the rumble?

It's too early to tell. At the end of the day though, with the TV contracts coming up soon, WWE isn't going to want someone getting busted for steroids and then getting a Wrestlemania title shot.

What scares me the most though is they'll just postpone it and then THIS TIME FOR SURE is next year.

But there's absolutely no time frame on the account. This could've been years ago, if even true at all. Plus, he already gets tested. If there was any issue they'd be covered on their end. The only other possibility is his suspension awhile back was for steroids and they covered that up.

I agree that a suspension is unlikely (granted tell that to Alex Rodriguez who got suspended for a full baseball season without a positive test), but you never know. Plus even without a suspension it's possible that this could become mainstream news, especially since the article mentions big-time movie star Mark Wahlberg being a client as well.

I know this is KB's thread but I'm just interjecting because I tried it. If you search on Google, "Mark Wahlberg steroids" all of the top articles feature Reigns' picture and name in the article headline, not Wahlberg's. And these sites are mainstream news sites, not wrestling sites. It seems like most of the attention is gonna be focused on Reigns. Probably because Reigns as an athlete in a company with a wellness policy is a far juicier story than an actor trying to beef up for a movie.

Oh there's every chance that this is nonsense. However, if the guy has some kind of proof, it could get complicated very, very fast. Especially if their policy comes off as a sham.

Could be, though it could go nowhere too. Like I said, it's too early to tell.

True. REigns is an athlete, not an actor. That changes things considerably.

So into a completely different question.

This Monday night Raw will be live from both Barclays Center (ill be there) and the Manhattan Center. Is this the first time wwe will be live from multiple locations since Mania 2? The WCW purchase was 2 separate tv shows that had a crossover, I'm talking multiple venues 1 show.

There was a show in early 1997 that did the same, though both were taped in advance. To say it was a disaster would be an insult to disasters. Live though....it might be.

Watching Raw from 97 onwards; just a few questions to throw out there from this time period. You don't have to answer them all, it's kind of a lot...

Do you think Shamrock should have been a WWF champion? Did his chance at ever becoming one end once Austin won the title?

Why didn't the crowd respond to Dan Severn in the same way that they responded to Ken Shamrock? Both were pretty well-known and loved UFC fighters and people went crazy for Ken yet didn't seem to give a wet shit about Severn.

Why were they so adamant about breaking up/repackaging the LOD? They were still one of the hottest acts in the company at this time and it's not like the tag division was anything to write home about.

Should Vader have been used better or was his position as a jobber to the stars the right decision? Again, another guy who was extremely over but nothing was really done with him.

Shamrock kind of hit his ceiling at DX: In Your House. He was kind of one dimensional so unless it was just as being a dragon to vanquish, not a champion no.

Severn didn't have any charisma. Shamrock had the same athletic background but you felt he was crazy. Dan was an amazing athlete but not the most interesting guy in the world.

They were old and banged up and the whole era was about changing things up. The LOD did amazingly well around that time for a rather old tag team when you think about it.

Vader was scheduled to win the title at Summerslam 1996 but Shawn didn't like getting beaten up every night and vetoed it, which is why we got Sid at Survivor Series 1996 and Royal Rumble 1997.

What do you make of the odds shifting across multiple sites, and the Observer now focusing in on it, for Daniel Bryan winning the Rumble. It has been sizable shift, thoughts?
