Like I said in the review, it's because of how ROH fans are supposed to be the smart/real fans. If they were the kind of fans they claim to be, they would never cheer for heels (which the Bullet Club only are in name only anymore, because they're the stupid "cool heels").

I think that claim is mainly used by people who think you're only a true wrestling fan if you watch indy wrestling, which is stupid. But doesn't change the fact that people are rooting for the likes of Cody, The Young Bucks and Marty Scurll because they find them entertaining and enjoy their work. Same reason some heels are cheered in WWE quite often.

1. They were debuted HORRIBLY. We were never told who O'Ryan and Marseglia were and then they were making a run in the tournament. If I'm supposed to be impressed by these people, tell me something about them and give me a reason to care about them.

I agree and disagree on this. I agree because they really should have explained the background of Vinny and TK instead of just saying "i know who these guys are". But I disagree because I thought Taven recruiting them for his Kingdom was a good idea considering they all work together at a local indy around here. Also them debuting in a stable with an established star in ROH and beating Bullet Club of all people in their debut was big for them to get going with. But yes they should have explained who they are better.

2. I find their promos to be dreadful. It's just calling a bunch of people Melvins (whatever that means) and little more, which makes for a rather dull interview.

I'll give you that one, I don't understand the Melvin thing either.

3. There's no Maria, who made the whole thing work.

Hardly their fault she goes where Bennett goes. And I think the 3 of them can handle the promos fine if they stop with the Melvin thing and come up with something else to work with. I'm hoping they will give them something good when TK comes back.

4. They're around the Six Man Tag Team Titles, which might be the most worthless belts I've ever seen.

Also not a reason to hate them, but for what it's worth I think if TK didn't get injured they would have had a better run to establish the belts a bit.

Here's the thing though: if a heel is cheating and you cheer him, that makes me think they're not doing their jobs effectively.

Indeed. I'm quite a big first impression guy and since Taven had been out for a long time, throwing him right back in with two unknowns wasn't a smooth move.

If they do then good, but that hasn't exactly been ROH's M.O.

I don't see why the belts are needed in the first place. You have Bully Ray/Briscoes, Dalton and the Boys, Search and Destroy and.....who else is a regular trio?

Also, that's a ridiculous seven champions (not counting when Japanese titles are brought in) for a promotion that has an hour of TV a week. They also have a women's division that doesn't need to exist and the Top Prospect Tournament which felt like it went on forever this year. The Six Man belts feel like they're there because New Japan had them and that's not a good enough reason.

I always thought it would have been better if they had spent a couple weeks having Taven tease bringing in two guys he's known for years and say something along the lines of them being the future of the business and then have them debut. Taven still had his credbility though.

Promos in general aren't really their MO, which is a shame because it's an important part of a wrestling product.

Oh I agree on the belts, I don't really see a need for them either, if they wanted to add another title I think it would have made more sense to add one for the Women since there's no point in a division without a title. I'd like to see them build up their women's division instead of disband it.

The only good thing to come from the Top Prospect Tournament seemingly was Donovan Dijak.

Yeah but not his familiarity. There's an old expression in comic books: every issue is someone's first. My experience with Taven is when he was being overshadowed by the rest of the Kingdom. Then he left for about eight months and came back saying "I'm restarting the Kingdom in my own image Melvin" over and over. If I started watching in the last eight months, here's what I'm thinking:

Who is Matt Taven? What image is he talking about? What's the Kingdom?

That's not good storytelling, especially when a simple video would solve things.

Promos in general aren't really their MO, which is a shame because it's an important part of a wrestling product.

It also becomes an issue when half of their stories seem to take place at house shows.

Anything that lets me look at Mandy Leon or various parts of Kelly Klein.

Woods intrigues me a bit.

Good but nothing mind blowing. Having him going around the world instead of being tied down is a nice touch though and he's going to have some amazing leverage if he wants to go back to WWE down the road.

My guess: the lack of everyone being on TV all the time.

Example: Big Show. Yeah he looks amazing and you don't believe him when you see him, but if you see him EVERY SINGLE WEEK for the better part of twenty years, he loses his appeal. The same with a gimmick. If you see a cool gimmick once in a while, you're not going to realize its flaws.

Do you think it's a poor decision to keep Rusev off T.V all this time to them bring him back and presumably feed him to Cena?

They could have brought him back at a different time and had him make an impact. Now he's probably going to be the exact same as before.

Maybe him and Lana are getting punished for getting engaged during a storyline.

Pretty much yeah. He was supposed to have Mahal's spot (not sure if that meant winning the title).

Wouldn't surprise me.

On what episode of impact did the infamous 16 minutes of actual wrestling happen?

Some show in 2010/2011.

If Reigns vs Lesnar is the main event of summerslam, what do you see being the main event of wrestlemania 34? Speaking of wrestlemania, did Vince really stop numbering them because it would make them seem "old"?

Reigns vs. Cena.

Allegedly yeah, because Vince has never heard of the Super Bowl.

Do you think Vince McMahon will go into the hall of fame one day?

I'd be surprised if they don't name it after him one day.

How amateur hour were JR and Barnett during the G1 Special? JR was especially terrible. You'd think they would have done some homework before calling such an important show, no?
