Has your ability to enjoy the product changed at all since you've started doing reviews? Are you able to watch anything wrestling related without automatically going into review mode, for example if you go to a house show do you feel the overwhelming need to take notes & shit, or are you able to shut the review mode part of your brain down for a few hours, & sit back & enjoy the show like a normal fan?

NSL and I were having a discussion a few nights back about all the talent in Lucha Underground that are former WWE talent or had try outs and were passed on. We listed off Puma, Cage, Catrina, Mundo, Rey, Chavo, Ivelisse, Joey Ryan, Marty, Marty's sister(Whose name I forget), PJ Black, The Mack, and Son of Havok.

Excluding Rey, Mundo, Chavo, and Black, who all held WWE gold, which talent do you feel they dropped the ball on the most?

I am curious, if Roman Reigns is as despised by all as claimed, then why do his youtube videos tend to have the highest views consistently, even now(whilst he is at his 'lowest' in terms of momentum).
Yes, the Shane O'Mac return got a huge boost as should be expected, but this week's Shane, Taker and Vince segment has done almost a full 100k views less than Roman's beatdown of HHH.
Even Roman's short speech for the Orlando Mania announcement has done more than all the other speeches(including John Cena's).

Your thoughts on the above?

Also, on another note; the Shane vs Taker Youtube numbers seem to be doing poorly by the look of things thus far. Given that is the feud that is clearly being used to catch the casuals, surely that has to be a concern for the WWE, no?

Clearly Reigns weakest thing is promo's, if WWE would give him a manager to talk for him do you think "The Universe" would hate him less?

I really wouldn't put a lot of stock in Youtube figures. Isn't WWE always hyping their stuff vs. the NFL? That doesn't quite sum up how popular the organizations are.

Nah. Just let him talk in short bursts and stop trying to make him Cena. Not everyone can pull off that style.

Are you taking that from a purely US standpoint? WWE is quite popular all over the world, whilst I am unsure about NFL's popularity outside the US.

Not saying Youtube is the be all and end all, but I do see the views as a reflection of the interest being generated, especially amongst the casual fanbase, in particular.

Why does WWE insist on portraying goodie-goodie Superman, when the more popular heroes of today are Batman, Ironman, Wolverine and now, Deadpool? Surely, they could make an effort to get with the times...

That and just watching videos of stuff not being a very telling stat.

Yeah it's way off and not really working.

What do you think of the following:

WWE have seemed high on the SHIELD guys since D-Bry's coronation at Mania 30.

Would it have worked better if;
Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins were given the Full-Time Top Stars role built on their epic feud post-SHIELD.
Roman Reigns with his One-Man SHIELD character taking an Undertaker-like role and used with a less-is-more approach(Mainly RAW appearances with very few SmackDown appearances every now and then, Short promos, Strong booking, etc.), basically an "Avenging Angel" type gimmick.

The possibilities through such booking would have been endless, lMO.

Because Junior is still stuck in a "Hulkamania" mindset that he's never really been able to break out of. I don't think he was ever comfortable with characters like Austin and Rock at the top of the card and he went back to his default characters (ie Cena) as quick as he could.

Why does the WWE not build national heroes anymore? I was just watching the Raw in Italy where Santino Marella debuted, and it strikes me that the guy went from the biggest momentum-building pop in the wake of Wrestlemania to a comedy guy rather quickly. Had they worked that match a little differently (let Santino win outright with a less involved Lashley intervention), they could have built him as a guy, done a week or two of television on bringing him into the company after he just took their title, positioned him as an ally to Lashley, etc...

As is, the aftermath of that was somewhat lackluster. Quick feud with Masters, dropped it back to Umaga and then the heel turn with Maria.

Not wild on it yet. Reigns needs to be established more before he takes over the Sting/Undertaker role.

Did you know Ric Flair is Charlotte's dad, & that Bret Hart is Nattie's uncle?!?

I think I read that in a book once.

That character would be seen as cliched and too easy.

Which is stupider, MITB or Feast or Fired?

Feast or Fired for making it three times longer. The matches aren't even good either.

Feast or Fired is truly awful even in a kayfabe sense.

Are TNA really happy to portray their bookers as willing to put so much of their best talent into a match where they might end up fired?

Yep, though I doubt they've thought that far through.

What mania match are you looking forward to most?

Owens vs. Zayn, assuming it's happening.

Even though it was only a week before they had both Stings on tv at the same time did the fake sting fool people or did everyone know it was a fake the second he stepped out of the limo at the go home nitro before war games?

KB I was reading about how you really love Shane/Kurt from KotR 2001. I find the match quite enjoyable myself but what's the deal with the ref doing count outs early on? Just a botch?

It certainly fooled some people but earlier that night they had mentioned that Sting was in Japan so it was actually already explained.

Yeah more than likely.
