Is that the reason RVD didn't get a world title run before the ECW revival?

Do all wrestlers that do weed have a glass ceiling? Because I'm sure Orton does/did it and he's done fine.

Part of it but I'm sure there's a lot more to it than that. For one thing he's a better midcard act than a main eventer.

This. When I was purely a casual fan during my teenage phase, I never looked at RVD as someone who could headline a show. Ditto Cesaro today(though he might be a bit more suited than RVD was, lMO)...

loool!
Just started reading your RAW review for tonight and had to laugh when I saw you also fear that the Big Show will answer Cena's US Open Challenge. Funny thing is, when I go through possible candidates, unless there is an NXT call-up, I can't really think of anyone who would be able to take it off Cena before he leaves at this time...

So, if Tyler Breeze is coming up to the main roster...

There's exactly a .01% chance they'd even think of having him answer the open challenge and beat Cena, right?

Yep. It's scary isn't it.

Indeed. Still, how much of a chance that one out of say, Balor or Joe, perhaps, come up and be the one to win the US title. We've already got KO with the IC title(hopefully his next feud'll be someone of interest).

Any chance someone from the Wyatt family attacks Cena, say Harper or Strowman, for instance, or we could just get one of the New Day to do it? The idea of both New Day and the Wyatt family harbouring aspirations to 'rule' the WWE is intriguing, lMO.

Anyways, anyone but the Big Show/Kane/ etc.

I didn't see RAW tonight (I'll watch it later this week) but aren't Sheamus, & Rusev still options?

EDIT: Just read your review, nevermind

Goldberg's streak was awesome but it fell apart after that. He should have gone through the NWO to get the title back but instead he just did stupid matches that meant nothing and then was out for months.

I don't think it could. The creative staffs are way too impatient for something like that to work nowadays.

As evidenced by them ruining Ryback's initial push by having him feud with Punk when it was too early and he had no chance of winning because of their planned feud with The Rock.

I would also have no problem with Breeze answering the call and using some dirty heel tactic to win. If he doesn't "injure" Cena though, they'll have to come up with a reason for Cena to leave anyway.

Ambrose is a solid option though if the rumors about him getting a push in Cena's absence are true.

Who is the best face and heel male and female wrestler on the WWE main roster in terms of crowd reaction and wrestling ability at this time?

I'm sure you'll agree Kevin Owens has been booked pretty well since winning the IC title, squashing people like he should be. But who will he feud with after Ryback to keep up his momentum? It doesn't feel like there's many credible threats to him, except for maybe Ziggler or Ambrose.

Face is probably Cena. Heel......Owens actually.

It's really hard to say. I could see it being someone like Neville but it might be a short feud.

Wasn't Wyatt supposed to do some prophecy thing on RAW? Or did it happen and I missed it?

I do know it was on SmackDown and Vince and co. possibly 'forgot' about it...

One thing I feel WWE really fails at big time is building No.1 Contenders to the different titles.

Some time ago, I talked about the 'blessing' of having guys in limbo with 'nothing' to do. For instance, you pointed out last night that they could have used someone other than Ryback to face Rollins.

On that note: Why does WWE not develop someway where guys in limbo who don't have a storyline could be used as enhancement talents, yet still be booked in a way where they can be positioned to become the next contender for the midcard titles? Instead, they just tend to do 50/50 booking which leads nowhere whatsoever...

It's my same general response to most questions about stupid booking decisions:

The writers have the attention span of drunken squirrels.

This is exactly where Cesaro has been for awhile. You know what happens? Of course you do, because you're on here. People bitch he should be moved up. Kane's been an enhancement talent for damn near a decade, but since he joined the authority he's actually in storylines.

Wyatt, by a long shot. Reigns has actually won something in WWE. Wyatt really doesn't have a big signature win.

One could argue that he did win his feud over DB. But they sort of brushed it off and kept DB's focus on the authority. Damnit. Thinking about how long ago that was reminds me how long they've been around. Can't they just die already?

I don't know how you feel about this, kb, but I just want a time where you rarely see any "GM" figure and the wrestlers create their own storylines kayfabe-wise.
