Which one of these scenarios for the Hell in a Cell PPV would you prefer?

Reigns vs. Wyatt inside the cell and a regular tag match between Ambrose/Orton and Harper/Strowman

or

Reigns, Ambrose, and Orton vs. Wyatts inside the cell

Did Bobby Heenan and Jerry Lawler ever work a commentary team together?

Sorry to intrude on your thread, KB.

I believe they worked together one time. It was Lawler's WWF debut on Superstars of Wrestling at the end of 1992. It had been Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect doing commentary at the time but Perfect left the booth when he returned to the ring at Survivor Series. At the beginning of Superstars one week in December Bobby Heenan introduced us to Jerry Lawler. Heenan and Lawler both did commentary with McMahon for that show and after that it was just Lawler and McMahon.

Now my own question. Of course you remember in late 1998 Owen Hart brought back the Blue Blazer gimmick and always denied it was him under the mask. Once in a while someone else, usually Jeff Jarrett, would dress as the Blazer while Owen was in the ring to keep up the charade. I was told a long time ago that one time Koko B. Ware of all people showed up under the mask but I never saw this. Did this actually happen or was someone messing with me? If it did happen do you know what show it was on?

The first. Let the Cell be about the feud, not about getting in whoever was just added to the feud.

It would have had to be around then so that makes sense.

Yes it did. If I remember right, Ware did the same gimmick down in Memphis back in the 80s so it might have been a mini tribute. I don't think he was ever unmasked though. It was in early 1999 on Raw but that's about as narrow as I can get it without looking into it too much.

If WWE are interested in bringing Matt and Jeff Hardy at some point, how will Lita's recent appointment to work backstage in WWE (and I'm sure I've read something about Edge coming back in an off-screen role) affect Matt's decision to accept a deal knowing the animosity between them.

So Triple H and whoever's helping him run NXT have been renaming wrestlers less and less lately, with Joe, Gargano, Ciampa and now Storm all getting to keep their names. This seems like a big deal considering all of those (Bryan, Rollins, Owens) who had their names changed, and considering how hard Heyman had to fight for CM Punk to keep his name.

So why do you think they don't care as much about renaming indie guys now? Obviously Joe and Storm were already established names, but it's very surprising that Gargano and Ciampa's names weren't changed up.

They're different contracts. Joe and in theory other people aren't exclusive to NXT and it's probably something stipulated in there.

Also, I think it's accepted that some people like Joe are going to be known as Samoa Joe so why bother changing it?

How was TNA under NWA? What was it like?

Awful at first, sweet once they started focusing on the X-Division.

It happened on the January 25, 1999 Raw. It might have happened on Heat a few times as well.

Do you feel like WWE don't use #1 contenders matches often or well enough? It's a great way to set up a good feud between superstars and then gives both superstars in the #1 contenders match have a meaningful next month or so at atleast. I don't like to use Ambrose as an example but you could easily put him in a number one contenders match at hell in a cell with anyone and have a good match instead of potentially keeping him off the card or throwing him in a yawn tag team match. It's not like it has to have mega stars but having dragons , Ascension and PTP face off in a number one contenders match is almost a waste of time.

Maybe I didn't throw in the right example but I just think it's a good way to elevate superstars and also give them a decent reason to feud which keeps the match interesting.

I'd like that. It's really not something you see that often and it would be a really nice change of pace over all of the same ideas they use all the time.

Been getting used to booking in the TEW game with the WWE roster, and one thing I've noticed is setting up a logical number of feuds for a PPV and having certain Upper Midcard to Main Event guys in "limbo".

I have found that having such guys in limbo is actually a blessing in terms of building up my feuds and the superstars in those feuds.

So on that note: Do us fans tend to over emphasize on the fact that a certain favourite of ours isn't a part of any feud, but rather is used as sort "High-Level Enhancement Talent" at points?
I'd actually say that given the WWE formula of One feud per 2/3 PPVs, it is a real concern if such a guy(say atm, Cesaro/Ambrose) is left out of feuds for more than that period.

Could a BFG series style tournament work, & by that I mean interesting to watch, if they simplified the pt. system (example- 2 pts. for win via pinfall/submission, 1 pt. for win via countout/DQ), & trimmed down the number on competitors in the thing (I'm 6-8 guys max)?

Yeah it kind of is. The longer they're gone, the harder it is to bring them back because the moronic squirrels called writers can't remember anything for more than two seconds.

It would depend on how long it runs for, but the problem is the same every time: there's little reason to watch the opening matches and the audience dies as a result.

Have you seen the ECW Forever Hardcore documentary directed by Jeremy Borash? If so, what are your overall thoughts?

Watching it reminded me of how terrible a worker New Jack was back in the day. I'd love to see Lesnar legit destroy him. Would you watch the shoot fight if it happened?

I saw it a long time ago. I remember not being impressed of it but I'm not the biggest ECW fan.

I'd love to. New Jack is a good example of almost everything wrong with that era of wrestling.

Even though WWE(F) has always been my favorite, there was a bunch of stuff I liked about the original ECW. Yes, the violence and sex is what's always accentuated by many. However, they had some really good workers/matches in the non-hardcore setting. Jericho, Foley, RVD, Mysterio, Guerrero, Dreamer etc. Although there were a couple hardcore matches, I really liked 05 One Night Stand, as it brought back memories of the old school non-hardcore matches with good workers. Plus, I guess there's always bonus points for nostalgia.

Thoughts on Shane Douglas? I know he was an important puzzle piece when it changed from Eastern to Extreme, but I was never a fan of the guy. I actually like The Franchise gimmick, but I just never got into his style. Plus, Douglas always comes/came across very douchey.

I don't get it either. He's never done much outside of ECW and his in ring abilities aren't great. He could cut a good jerk promo but that's about it.
