Yeah it's kind of annoying that they don't just upload some more of the interesting stuff.

That being said, every PPV ever is nothing to sneeze at.

Funny thing, right now I'm watching a Lou Thesz vs Verne Gagne matchup on You Tube that I'm guessing is from the 1950s. That actually grabs my attention more than most of the PPVs lol :lmao:

A couple of interesting points in the match: Gagne's hair was already starting to go as a young man (receding hair line and bald spot already forming in back); and the audience is all in suits and ties: It reminds me of Habs games I've seen from the same era.

Yeah that stuff is worth watching for a contrast if nothing else.

I love that kind of stuff. It's just such a different era.

I'm a hockey nut and I'll watch any old game I can come across. It's jaw dropping seeing games at the old Montreal Forum in the '50s with everyone dressed to the 9s and comparing it to what crowds look like today lol.

If this delay in WWE launching the Network here in the UK is due to Sky's rights to currently show the PPVs on "Box Office", why couldn't WWE launch the Network with just access to their archived shows/PPVs, to give us SOMETHING while sorting out the Sky issues?

I'd be happy to pay £6.50 (or whatever the conversion is) or have the free month to just watch old PPVs and Raw/SDs... and I bet alot of fans would too.

So it seems both WWE and TNA are in straits (for different reasons)
But who do you think seems to be putting out the overall consistent better product??

Also why aren't Bram and Magnus in the tag team tournament??

I wish I could answer that.

TNA.

Because they can be fighting Tommy Dreamer, who was relevant.....15 years ago?

Austin vs. McMahon or Sting/WCW vs. nWo?

Steamboat vs. Flair (whichever match is considered their best) or Steamboat vs. Savage?

APA or Doom?

That's his thing: he loses but keeps plugging away.

Wouldn't you say that Cesaro's situation is pretty much the same, in that his awesome in-ring ability will mean that WWE can easily pull the trigger on him at anytime and the fans will get right behind him based solely on what he does in the ring?

Pretty much but in a different way. You let him do some freaky power stuff and he'll get right back over.

Thought as much. Which is why I wonder why people 'worry' about him losing so much given that he is basically a good month or so away from getting over based on that power stuff he does.

What did you think of Kevin Nash as a ring worker during his heyday in WWE and WCW?

Also, how was he able to gain so much backstage power in WCW?

The Diesel years were awesome if he had a good opponent. Otherwise, not so much.

Right contract, a few fresh ideas and having no one else to do the job.

What's TNA's next move? I've checked spike's website and they're listed for having shows on 11/12 and 11/19 and 11/26 a tribute show. Will TNA start running house shows until they get a new TV deal?

Let's say it happens - let's say Sting returns and has a face off with Taker. Just how monumental would that be?

Would you have Sting be up in the rafters when Taker is giving a promo?

Thoughts on the Kane-Taker feud from 2010?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5UPavxQMno - is this one of the better promo videos WWE has produced? Really sums up the rivalry well in my opinion.

Not as monumental as most people think.

Eh I could live with it.

About as predictable as you could get but I liked Kane getting an actual run with the title.

Watching the WWE-WCW wars on the Network. They say Randy Savage left WWE because he wanted to wrestle, while Vince McMahon wanted him to be a commentator.

Why on Earth would McMahon not want Macho Man to perform in the ring?
