What do you think the thinking was back in 95 when Shawn Michaels won the Rumble as the #1 entrant only to lose his Title match at Mania to Diesel?

Always thought they should have switched his Rumble wins with 96 being the year he wins as the 1st entrant. Seems to make more sense since he was a face by 96 and he was bout to have a 60 minute match which could have had a more interesting build coupled with a 60 minute Rumble win. Thoughts?

Back then the Rumble title shot wasn't as big of a deal yet. Also Shawn winning the title was discussed but he wasn't quite ready yet. Also everyone knew that Rumble sucked so it didn't have the same impact.

Me and my bud were talking about UFC and in this midst of this we started talking about how they have Interim champs while the current champ is out with an injury. Afterwards we started talking about what if they had one in wrestling. I see some problems with it but I can understand some of the benefits too.

What are your thoughts on having an interim champ in WWE?

Nah. I'm not a fan of muddying the title lineage any more than it already is.

Have any clue why referees don't pat wrestlers down for foreign objects? I don't see that happening anymore.

Not really. At least not once the Cell was around. Austin vs. Vince maybe?

A thread here in the spam zone got me thinking...

After seeing The Rock randomly show up and knock Rusev's block off, the guy who created the thread somehow believes that confirms Rock vs. Brock for the title at Mania. How he came to that particular conclusion I have no idea, but it brings up a good question - is there a part time guy out there who wouldn't get booed out of the building by the smarky Mania crowd for facing another part time guy for the title? I don't think there's a guy out there who could overcome the smarks losing their minds over how much they hate part time guys. Thoughts?

The only guy who could get away with it would be Steve Austin because he's probably the most universally loved wrestler of all time, but no chance that actually happens.

Probably not. Lesnar is as awesome as anyone and it's only kind of working.

Staying on Orton, is his list of high-end Mania opponents up there with the most illustrious in history? The biggest ones include Rock, Foley, Taker, Angle, Mysterio, Edge, HHH, Cena, Punk, Kane and Batista.

Will Lesnar keep the title til Mania?

Should there be a segment where The Authority rectify the 30-day title defense rule to explain why Lesnar holds onto the title?

Will Austin be back for Mania? If so, would you prefer to see him wrestle or in a GM/other type of role?

Just how devastating is the fact that he won't be back for a long time? Obviously we got the big moment at Mania 30, but surely it's very devastating still?

When do you see Orton turning face again? Near future or is there more potential left as a heel?
