I've seen you use the term "indy wrestling style" before (especially in connection to ROH). As someone who's only experience is with watching the big promotions (albeit around 36 years of watching) and has never seen an indy production, could you explain to me what the indy style is and how it differs from the style of the big promotions that I've watched over the years?

Trying to find a time in WWE that saw the most challengers/legit WWE Champion options and I came up with the 1st half of 97. In that time I would call Shawn, Bret, Sid, Taker, Vader and Austin as legit challengers/title holders during that time. Obviously Bret, Shawn, Taker and Sid all held the title during this time, Vader was a former WCW Champion and had been chasing the title throughout 96 and 97 and Austin cemented himself during this time as a main eventer and would go on to win the title the following year.

Can you think of a time period in the WWE that saw more legit title contenders than the one I mentioned?

Best debut in WCW and WWE?

Has anyone held every single mid card title from WCW and WWE? (when they were still separate companies)

Has anyone held the ECW, WCW and WWE titles? (again, separate companies)

Who has the most successful title defenses in WCW and WWE and for which titles?

When was the last time the WWE Championship wasn't defended at a pay per view?

Survivor Series 2012 at the earliest.

Hall. Jericho.

Not that I'm aware of. Jericho came closest but was never US Champion.

No.

Probably Hogan for both.

Have you ever noticed that Paul Heyman looks like Zordon? Someone pointed it out to me the other day and now I can't unsee.

I'll see that and raise you this.

Look in my eyes, what do you see?
The cult of personality

...

I'm the smiling face on your TV
I tell you one and one makes three

You gave me fortune, you gave me fame
You gave me power in your God's name

It's about Heyman in ECW.

Was it a memorable moment when Paul Heyman was riding out to Hell in a Cell 2013 on some kind of fork lift and he got stuck with a stupid driver and they just kept going back and forth on the stage while Ryback's music and "You are the Devil, yeah that's what you are" kept repeating over and over?

Just curious if anyone noticed/remembered that or if it's just some weird moment you wouldn't really catch if you weren't paying full attention...

Extra points if you pull up a youtube video of that specific moment.

So does last night's turn essentially render Payback's victory meaningless? I mean, I guess they were giving the original 3 Shield members the victory saying kayfabe "yes they're the greatest group of all time", but now it seems meaningless. And having the turn at Payback could've made the story so much more interesting. It just seems like the feud ended, but restarted again as a swerve. What's your take?

I didn't care for it for the reasons you said. You do the turn last night, or if Rollins was eliminated etc, not after a clean sweep.

I thought it was eye-rollingly foolish. When I suggested in another thread they should have kept them together for 3-4 years like, say, the Hart Foundation people acted like I was from another planet. Do wrestling fans today really have THAT short of an attention span?
