It's always puzzled me how wrestlers don't suffer broken ribs when they take a move from the top rope that clearly connects- Swanton Bomb, Spiral Tap etc

I mean, its a 200lbs+ man landing on you from several feet in the air, surely this should result in injury. I know some aerial moves allow you to protect your opponent, like a Frog Splash, elbow drop etc but these ones surely don't?

There are little tricks to them: right areas to land, legs hitting the mat first to take away a lot of the momentum, the person taking it curling up a bit etc.

You've seen a lot more than me but seeing it live really made me appreciate the little things that even the most limited of performer has to know but even the veterans who can carry a house show match in their sleep and still safely have a quality match put me in a state of awe. (My point of reference was seeing an six way Ultimate X match immediately followed by Angle/Styles in 2009)

Would you agree that having seen a bit of live stuff that you really appreciate the training that it takes to safely perform in the ring and all the detail that goes in to putting a match together?

Some yes but you can pick up most of it on TV as well. A lot of it is just knowing what to look for.
