Watching some random WCW stuff from 98 on the network and I keep seeing The Giant smoking before, during and after his matches.

Was there something there storyline wise why he was doing it?

Just watch the history of Mania from the beginning and was wondering if the location were WWWF/WWF/WWE located helpful to their success or it was bound to happen no matter what?

Also, better overall Owen or Bret?

On a recent podcast Lita suggested a Madame Tussauds like building for the Hall Of Fame, with museum information and wax figures of every Hall Of Fame member. How awesome would that one be?

Starrcade 98 did not feature Hogan, Savage, Sting, Luger or Bret in any matches. Whats the story behind that?

Hogan was gone to set up the Fingerpoke of Doom
Savage had a legit injury
Sting had a fake injury
Luger and Hart were constantly lost in the shuffle and Starrcade was no different.

Most of them helped yeah but not always.

Bret by about 9000 miles.

Incredibly, but some of them would be questionable. I've been the original museum in London and a lot of those statues are WAY off.

Sorry, here:

That was an awesome one.

So, let's just say that the Sting hype is true this time around. Also, let's say he really is a one-match package for WM 31 against The Undertaker. Is a possible draw on the table?

Also, if Undertaker can go the distance for several more years, would you like to see one or two opponents from outside the company (from Japan or something) come in and make the challenge? Essentially saying that the streak is recognized beyond the confines of WWE and has attracted wrestlers from across the globe.

Would an intermittent year long build to a Sting/Taker be possible?

Maybe channel part of the Sting/Hogan build with both supernatural characters stalking each other. Have Sting coming after Taker, not because of bye he Streak but because he is the Undertaker. Have them both interrupting shows trying to get a match between them, even though Sting has 'nothing to do with WWE'.

If the Streak was ever to be broken, would it mean more as a pin or a submission?

Submission.

Yeah as it probably wouldn't be touched for a long time.

That's better than powers vs. powers.

And the WWE video department is more than capable of producing some stellar videos, like the one that got so much hype of a Sting appearance a couple of years back, to fill in the gaps.

I definitely think that the focus should be taken off the Streak somewhat and a character like Sting would be perfect for it. Maybe even challenge Taker in such a way as only Mankind has done.

The problem is Mankind was in his physical prime at that point and was 31 years old. Sting is in his 50s. It's not guaranteed he can back up the talking in the ring.

Forbes on WWE:
Excluding a one-time film impairment of $11.7 million in 2013, the company made $10.4 million last year, compared with $32.2 million in 2012 and $40.5 million in 2011

Why do you think they made less money than years before?
