As Mania 21 was all about making Cena and Batista the future stars do you know if there were any talks about having Cena beat a bigger superstar more on the level of a HHH that Batista got?

I was thinking specifically about David Hart Smith and was amazed that he's only 28. Is this a prime example of WWE rushing too quickly? He's doing well for himself whilst the 33 year old Tyson Kidd is MIA.

AJ by far.
Nah it was always JBL. He started hot but just started sputtering along by January. Also Batista was the bigger star at the time.
It's more along the lines of Hart-Smith being given no gimmick at all and the writers having nothing to do with him so they stopped giving him anything. It's WWE's biggest creative problem: if you don't get over with whatever stupid or non-existing idea they give you, you're pretty much done.

As you are well aware I am a Punk mark and have been since his WWE debut
Here's my opinion of Punk and see if you agree or not:
when the tagline is best for business Punk believes that line means whats best for me Maybe not too different than most top tier talent
If he and Heyman could get a "B" level company behind them they could creatively boost TNA up a bit within two years I am talking about behind the scenes
Hes tough to do business with but most of the time he is your typical foot soldier in the industry
I find him to be real with no bs
He voices his opinion louder than anybody in the industry not because hes a prick but because hes passionate about the business
he made the jump to WWE because that was the next logical step
In the end if he truly left no way Vince or HHH will push a "petite" wrestler unless they have real confidence in them

Actually no.
Part of the appeal back then was it was an only once a month thing. Put it on all the time and the appeal goes away. Also, a lot of the reason Bruno was a big deal was because of the local Italian population. The same was true when he went to Toronto every other Sunday.
