There are some brutal ones on there and then some that make my eyes roll. Swap in HHH vs. Cactus Jack from RR 2000, Mankind vs. Undertaker (pick one) and JBL vs. Eddie Guerrero from Judgment Day 04 and you have a decent list.

First and foremost, lately I've been really digging your website. I love that "Wrestler of The Day", kudos to you for really putting it out. Second, anything you need as far as design, social media, etc I'm your guy and you just need to P.M me anytime. I'm already trying to give you some exposure in Brazil and Western Europe with my facebook page with over 10.000 likes, or at least I hope so.

But for the subject in hands, is there anyway you can review a match or at least give me your thoughts about it? The fed is NJPW and it's the Six Man Tag Team Main Event from Road To New Beginning 2/2. I can give you some background as far as story goes. The link for the show is that:

The match starts at 2:33:30 and it goes on for about twenty minutes. It's basically champions and contenders mixed together. Supposed babyfaces: Hirooki Goto, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Tetsuya Naito - Supposed heels: Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii.

Basically Okada is the World Champion and Goto is #1 contender. They've both pinned each other before and so they'll have the match. Goto has been gaining some momentum for some months now. Tanahashi beat Nakamura at Wreste Kingdom for the Intercontinental Championship. Ishii challenged Naito (former #1 contender for the World Title and current NEVER Openweight Champion) for the belt. Ishii has been doomed the "William Regal" of Japan, because he's so talented and yet he has been used as an enhacement talent at best. He really showed the world what he could do at G1 Climax this year.

What you think? Up for the challenge if you have some spare time?

Hiroshi Tanahashi/Hirooki Goto/Tetsuya Naito vs. Kazuchika Okada/Shinsuke Nakamura/Tomohiro Ishii

Big staredown to start as the fans LOUDLY chant for the heel Okada. I'm not entirely sure who everyone here is but I think it's Okada and Goto getting things going. The fans settle down for a bit but wake back up off a loud chop to Okada's chest. They fight over wrist control until Okada takes him into the corner and slaps him in the face, earning the champion some forearms to the head.

Goto misses a big kick to the face and Okada bails to the outside. Back in and it's off to Naito as the fans chant for and receive Ishii. They jockey for position up against the ropes with Ishii being out-quicked by the much smaller Naito. Ishii bails to the floor and spits at Naito before sitting down in front of the barricade. Naito, apparently not that bright, heads outside and is whipped into the barricade over and over to make the fans cheer even harder for Ishii.

Back in and Naito pops up to his feet for a slugout because it's Japan and a series of whips into steel that hard can be shrugged off. Tanahashi comes in to face Nakamura and the fans are very interested in the showdown. Tanahashi runs him over and plays his air guitar to not much of a reaction as the fans would rather cheer for our villains. Back up and Nakamura fakes Hiorshi out with a kick to the head, only to be taken down by a cross body out of the corner.

Tanahashi goes after the other heels and gets caught, triggering a big brawl. Nakamura drops a knee for two as Ishii and Naito fight in the crowd. Off to Okada to renew the huge rivalry which never did much for me. An Eddie Guerrero slingshot hilo gets two on Tanahashi before a triple big boot drops him again. Ishii comes in again and no sells Hiroshi's chops before it's back to Nakamura for forearms to the head.

Okada gets another tag and cranks on Tanahashi's neck until Goto makes the save. Back to the chinlock as the fans finally get behind Tanahashi. A backdrop puts Okada down and it's the not hot tag to Goto. Something resembling a spinebuster lays out Okada and it's time for a lot of kicks for two. Okada rolls him up and puts on a freaky looking leglock with a chinlock as the other four guys brawl to the floor.

Naito finally makes a save but Okada drops a top rope elbow before loading up the Rainmaker. I've said it before and I'll say it again: it's a freaking clothesline. Why that move wins awards while the clothesline thrown by Goto is just a regular move is beyond me. Either way the Rainmaker misses but Okada hits a backbreaker out of something like Sheamus' White Noise for no cover. Instead it's back to Ishii for a big power slugout.

They trade a bunch of clotheslines until a double shot puts both guys down. The fans are still cheering for Okada but get Naito to stomp on Ishii. Things speed up again as a running swanton bomb gets two for Naito. The momentum leaves just as fast as it comes though as Naito misses a running dropkick in the corner and gets his head taken off by a clothesline (popular move this match).

A suplex puts Naito down again as Ishii needs to tag. Another clothesline in the corner has Naito in trouble but again he shrugs it off and fires off forearms before slapping Ishii down to the mat. Back up and they headbutt each other a lot until both guys go down again. A double tag brings in Tanahashi and Nakamura with both guys going after legs, leading nowhere at all. Tanahashi gets two off a running sleeper drop and everything breaks down again.

The frog splash is broken up by a kick to the head from Nakamura and a backstabber sets up a reverse suplex on Tanahashi. Goto comes in and cleans house with clotheslines and an AA into a backbreaker on Okada before a Cactus Clothesline sends both of them outside. Naito comes back in and gets kicked in the head by Nakamura as well before it's back to Ishii. The heels triple team Naito and Ishii superplexes him down for two.

A powerbomb gets two more on Naito but he comes back with an enziguri to put both guys down again. They slug it out yet again with Naito shrugging off a series of forearms and getting two off a German suplex. Naito misses a corkscrew moonsault but of course comes back with a rolling kick to the head. Everyone comes back inside and runs each other over until it's Ishii beating up Naito even more. An enziguri, big clothesline and brainbuster are finally enough for Ishii to get the pin on Naito.

Rating: C. While it's not bad, this had a lot of the problems that get on my nerves in Japanese wrestling. First and foremost there's Naito who wouldn't freaking sell ANYTHING and kept popping right back up like it was no big deal. That drives me crazy and makes those moves look worthless. It's why I stopped watching Ring of Honor and it's a big reason why I don't watch puro.

On top of that, this was really a glorified singles match with four other guys in there giving the main two breathers. That's fine as this is apparently a hot feud, but it doesn't do a lot for the people interested in the other guys. This certainly wasn't a bad match but as is always the case with puro: I don't care, I'm not interested, and this did nothing to change my opinion on it at all. I've lost track of how many times people have shown me a match and said THIS is the one that will change your opinion. I don't care for puro and I likely never will. It's just not my style.

Hey KB, really appreciate the fact that you took sometime to give it a go. Great review as always and I totally get your "indiference" to puroresu, it's a different style a different psychology and well, that's why people have different tastes. That was only a multi-man to hype the big show, I enjoyed the match for what it was and apparently we have the same dislike for Naito.

As far as working, pace, selling - did you enjoy Ishii? I only ask that because I find the guy criminally underrated as he has been used as an enhacement talent for years now.

It seems to me (and I could be wrong so feel free to correct me) that post PPV shows generally have more wrestling than your basic Raw. They often have some promos about feuds still going on, but you often catch rematches from the night before and other matches mixed in. Do you foresee the night following the EC PPV having very little wrestling because of the debut of the WWE Network? I'd imagine a lot of hype as filler, especially from HHH/Stephanie.

Got two of them here for you.

1. We were the final four in a Royal Rumble match. Between us we have a total of 13 World titles, 14 tag team titles, and 18 secondary titles, plus 16 Slammy Awards. Only two of us have gone by different names and/or gimmicks in the WWE. Three of us were primarily tag team wrestlers for a while; the fourth wasn't, although he has been a tag team champion. Three of us competed in that year's Wrestlemania, although only one of us left with a championship. One of us holds a Rumble record, and is co-holder of another one. Three of us have entered the Rumble at #1—two of us have done it twice—though none of us were the first man in this particular Rumble. And one of us has been involved in two different controversial Rumble moments. Who are we? (And what year is this?)

2. Who am I? I'm a moderately famous legend of the sport, despite my sole Wrestling Observer Newsletter award being a negative one (PWI has been slightly more generous). I've had tag title reigns with three men in my career, although most people only remember me teaming with one of them. I've had one more male managers than I have had female managers. I've used a piledriver as a finisher but most people know my other finisher better (heck, one guy got a job based on how well he took it!), although the piledriver became useful in a later tag team. I'm currently on a WWE legends contract, and while I don't consider wrestling my main job anymore I do dabble a little in it. A born again Christian, a WWE Hall of Famer, an Evolution Schematic subject, and a guy who once lost a title via a very famous and bloody moment in a cage. Who am I?
