Yeah it would have been better but if you're going to have Foley involved it has to be there. Otherwise there's no point to it.

I was always pissed at the timing because I was at Mania 23 and would have loved to have seen Angle live at Mania.

My best guess is that he would win the ECW Title and give a big rub to whomever beat him for the belt.

To an extent yeah. There were times they were worried about him actually dying so getting him off the payroll was kind of a smart move.

The short answer is that he's a heel billed as the next big thing/future of professional wrestling, crossed with being a "corporate" heel (i.e. he's got a team of people controlling his image, getting him title shots etc.) that's gone insane. That's a really bad description, but it's the simplest I can make it.
