Not that I remember.
It was horrible. It could have worked to a degree but Heidenreich sucked.

It seems as though the Survivor Series has lost much of its prestige. While it is one of the big 4, outside of Mania (which of course is the biggest) it doesn't seem to be anywhere near the Rumble or SummerSlam.

If given the oppertunity to try and fix this problem what would you do to help restore the Survivor Series and return it to being on par with SummerSlam and the Rumble?

The original Survivor Series was about getting Hogan vs. Andre in the ring against each other without doing a full on rematch. Use that same idea. Make the main event an elimination tag match with captains in a big feud. Put something on the line if you like, such as where you want to have the next match, the right to choose a stipulation, the right to earn another title shot, or geez even put the title on the line. At the end of the day, fans don't care about matches that mean nothing, because nothing changes if they don't see it. Look at Rock/Cena vs. Awesome Truth. What was on the line? Nothing. What changed if either team won? Nothing. Why should I care about that match if I'm already buying Wrestlemania? No reason to. Make Survivor Series worth something and people will buy it.

To go along with that last part of your answer, why didn't they go with Team Cena vs. Team Rock? Wouldn't that have been much more entertaining and draw better than what was essentially a squash match?

That's the only issue because Cena and Rock are both faces. Either one of them, especially Rock with someone he had history with, could've pulled off having heels on their team though.
