Who do you think the best pound for pound wrestler in WWE is today and why? They've got someone like Big Show, who's huge, but is amazing for a man of his size. Sheamus is very versatile for a bigger man as well. Cena and Orton get a lot of stupid hate, but can really go. Then there's the smaller guys like Bryan and Punk who are fast, versatile and can be very intense. These are just examples of course and you're open to pick anyone on the roster.

i wish WWE had like 6-8 PPV's a year.

Rumble.
Mania
SummerSlam
Survivor Series
TLC
KOTR
I guess you could throw in 2 more like HIAC or some other PPV

thoughts?

Would you be interested in a Evolution reunion for Raw's 20th anniversary next week?

Because they have done the DX reunion so many times, The Wrestling Observer reports that WWE officials have discussed doing an Evolution reunion, possibly at the RAW 20th Anniversary show next week. With Triple H, Ric Flair and Randy Orton already in the building, the main issue would be getting Batista to come back for one night.

Won't it be smart to make rock win at Rumble and Mania for the title only to make him drop it at ER to any other upper card face(e.g:Ryback,Shemaus) to create the next big thing?

Do you think there are lost matches at house shows? Like how you say HBK v. Benjamin is your favorite match, and that was on RAW, do you think some house show matches in the past could have been the greatest matches of all time but no one would know it?

What do you think about these four matches being the top 4 matches planned for Mania?

-The Rock vs John Cena for the WWE Title
-Brock Lesnar vs Triple H
-CM Punk vs The Undertaker
-Randy Orton vs Sheamus for the World Title

Absolutely. Bret talks in his book about having some of the greatest matches of his career with Mr. Perfect on a tour of Alaska.

I wouldn't have Rock vs. Cena be for the title.

do you think punk vs flair is gonna happen sometime this year?
who's hotter velvet or tessmacher?

I hope not.

It depends on what they're wearing. Since Velvet returned though, Tessmacher by far.

Considering his strong initial push, how big of a flop is Tensai?

Could Kofi Kingston regain the same amount of momentum he had in the feud against Orton a few years ago?

Who wins at the Rumble, The Rock or CM Punk?

Based on what you listed above, it would appear to be Rock. The more I think about it though, the more I'm thinking Punk.

Huge.

Sure.

Why is it that you feel Chris Hero has no business being employed by the WWE right now? What do you know about Hero that HHH and the powers that be don't know??

Well watching him I see absolutely nothing of value beyond the occasional witty line.

Could Lesnar vs Ryback at Mania work? A win would do a lot for Ryback I think.

It could but I don't know how well it would draw.

New Tna PPV format...

I know youve been an advocate of the less is more idea for PPVs, but any take on the seven pre-taped specials? On a friday night of all nights?

Have you heard about the new Bret Hart DVD? I guess it's going to contain a bunch of never before released matches, all hand-picked by the HItman. Many of them from house shows, his Stampede era, and generally stuff not often covered by WWE.

Yeah the Friday thing is a bit weird. If it means we're getting better PPV builds though, rock on.

i've seen the match listing. I'm certainly intrigued by it.

It could but I don't know how well it would draw.
With (possibly) Rock - Cena and Taker - Punk on the card, how much does Lesnar - Ryback really take away from potential buys? Ryback Shell Shocking and pinning Lesnar would definitely make for a memorable moment and Ryback a draw for future PPVs. I don't see the loss, especially with the chance of Lesnar leaving after Mania.

Well, here is a question I have been thinking about a lot lately and have a hard time explaining:
Is there a niche for a more intelligent wrestling company, or at least one with a more "sophisticated" focus?

I notice there are a lot of very intelligent wrestling fans and wrestlers, and on the other side a heap of pretty simple-minded action seekers. I get the impression that companies cater to the second group more often than not, try to keep it very simple and, there's no way around it, insult our intelligence at times.
What I mean are caracters that represent aspects of life or reflect on social / societal movements, maybe even a seasonal format with carefully planned out storyline arcs. No definite face-heel-distinction, with heat not being forced that much and turns and twists being comprehensible. Stories that don't plant you into one side, but force you to think and choose sides (Border War, Austin's rising popularity, Kane-Taker-saga, Punk - Hardy, justification of success [Summer of Punk], Rock - Cena could be some real-life examples). To make it short, a more theatrical, drama inspired presentation.
However, I know that at the end of the day it's two people bashing their heads in and the concept might be stinted enough as it is.

Another question, that is loosely related: How important is creative input by wrestlers?

WWE drastically curbed it and in my opinion it's the main thing that is holding the program back. It's just a matter of course that the creative team always comes up with the same ideas, runs dry creatively fast and isn't competent in how individual wrestlers perform best.

It could hurt potential crossover MMA fans who might watch because of Brock.

As for the sophisticated stuff, it wouldn't work for a full show/promotion. Mixing things up is a very important key to making a good show. Doing the same stuff over and over again (even higher level stuff like that) is not only very difficult, but it's also not the best idea. At the end of the day, sometimes it helps to watch a guy get kicked in the balls.

Having wrestlers give their input is very important. Sometimes having a fresh mind and a fresh set of ideas can do wonders for a character or a story. I'm not saying have the talent run the show but hearing their input and trying a few things out won't hurt a thing. At the end of the day if an idea or a joke doesn't work, forget about it and move on. If you look back at 1999 and 2000, Rock had some AWFUL attempts at catchphrases but sometimes you need to just throw stuff at the wall and see what gets people interested.

I have a lot of the same objections and that's why I think a seasonal format might work. Have, let's say, two three-month broadcasting intervals a year and in between carefully plan out what you do.

Lately I watched a lot of promotions from around the world to see unique approaches different cultures take to wrestling (and, quite frankly, because I was pretty bored by the current staleness of North American wrestling). The language barrier is a pretty big problem though. I noticed that in Lucha announcers talk a lot during wrestler's entrances, seemingly naming trainers, accomplishments or something. What exactly is said?

Also, how many La Parkas are there? At one show I watched there were three alone.
