Anybody that Hogan could give a rub to. This is his big issue: he puts over old guys. In TNA, the ONLY person to beat him is Sting. You know, the second most famous guy in the company.

Wrestlers getting pinned usually take a "2" count before powering out. Did you ever see an instance in which the guy failed to kick out before the count of 3? I'm talking about a blatant situation in which no finisher had been applied and it seemed the match wasn't destined to end at that point, yet it did?

Is the referee supposed to ignore that the guy's shoulders are down for the count? Is he supposed to divert his attention from the pinning situation when he sees the guy isn't going to raise his shoulders? Or is the wrestler going to be in a heap of trouble back in the dressing room?

Did you ever see this happen?

Not sure I have heard/seen an exact instance of that but I would suggest that what the referee does depends heavily on the situation of the match.

I do remember Angle leaving his kick out so late against HBK at Wrestlemania XXI that the referee had to not count three despite the shoulder still being down. Then there was Hebner not counting three when Angle's shoulders were down against the Rock at No Way Out.

I think Foley writes about DDP being forced to take a three count early in his wrestling career when Kevin Nash mistimed his run in and failed to break up the count. Similar situation happened at Wrestlemania VIII when Sid was forced to kick out of Hogan's leg drop because Papa Shango was late.

Good point. I suppose it's one thing for a wrestler to be in a singles match and simply forget to raise his shoulders in time; that's just brain freeze and would almost never happen...... but a guy having his shoulders pinned while waiting for his partner to break up the count could easily occur. How long is the guy on the mat supposed to wait, given that we're talking about split-second timing? Really, it could happen anytime since the guy expected to make the save could get delayed in any number of ways.

But the question remains the same: who suffers the brunt of Vince McMahon's rage? The guy getting pinned, the guy making the save, the ref.......or all three plus the cameraman who filmed it?

Looking forward to the opinion of Mr. Becca.

I've seen it. Kassius Ohno did it multiple times... a match in FCW. The opponent usually just pretended he did something and broke the cover themselves. Though there was at least one instance where the ref just didn't make the final count. It looked awkward.

There was also a time in FCW (which I can't remember if it was televised or not) where Hunico got pinned by Michael McGillicutty where he was a split second late kicking out (going for a 2.9 count) and lost the tag titles because of it (they won them back a few days later though)

Hey KB.

So how it has been doing NXT since it basically became FCW?

Your thoughts on Seth Rollins as the NXT champ?

And why do you think Punk was turned heel? I mean, was it necessary, his run was stale?

It's rare but I've seen it a few times. I think it was Shawn covering someone but I can't remember specifically. As for what is supposed to happen, in a regular match yeah the referee would probably count it. There's a policy in place that the referees in WWE don't know the winners of a match in order t make it more realistic. In really big matches it's different I think and the referee usually would slow down a lot and it looks really bad.

Quite well.

Good first choice.

So that people would boo him, which hasn't worked quite well yet.

Is it a credit to the writers or Glen Jacob's talent that make Kane so easy to transition from heel to face and back again and, despite losing an overwhelming amount of matches/feuds in his career, he's still always considered a threat to win a world title?

He's very much like Austin or Big Show in that you just have to focus on various aspects of his personality and it can change very easily. At the end of the day, he's a giant with a quick power finisher so it's easy to make him a threat. That's why having him win the world title like two years ago was a good thing. Instead of him being the guy that beat Austin and held the title for one day almost fifteen years ago, he's now the guy that was world champion a few years back and held it for five months.

I think I, or someone else asked you this before, but should they have pulled the trigger on Kane in 2002-03 during his feud with Evolution and had him end the HHH Reign of Terror?

Orton wasn't just a good babyface to me in 2004. It seemed like Orton should have worn a shirt that said "I'm a face. Cheer for me." He did everything to try to hammer that point in and I don't think he got those huge pops. May sound crazy but I believe that Orton should have been the one to kick HHH out of Evolution and make HHH a face again.

At Summerslam Axxess this year Christian was asked in a Q&A where his alliance with Edge last year woud've went had he not retired. Christian's answer was that they were going to reunite for another full run as Edge & Christian.

Assuming he was telling the truth, where do you think it would've gone and how do you think The World Title picture would've looked without them both?

I liked his face run actually, although I'm in the minority. Then again it didn't really matter as Batista wound up being way bigger than Orton ever hoped to be.

They likely would have been in the title picture anyway. It wouldn't be hard to pull that off.
