Combination: storylines that result in wrestling. Just wrestling with no stories are boring (see NXT for more on that) and all storyline is too much (see WCW in 1999 for that).

YES. With the roster they have, sweet goodness there is no reason for ONE GUY to get so many title matches. They don't even have a reason to fight. D-Von answered an open challenge and took the title and they've been fighting ever since because they're fighting.

I've always disliked Robbie E. I can't stand anything remotely related to the jersey shore lol but come on, how many times does Devon need to beat him before they find him a real challenger? I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Bully Ray again, they had a great match.

Do you think TNA can compete with WWE?

Here's what I think:

It isn't only a matter of what TNA does. If WWE ever slips up, TNA could take advantage, and WWE is having quite a bit of backstage drama right now. WCW was dominating WWE for a long while, but it was their own backstage mistakes that fucked them.

WCW existed from 1988 to 2001. The Monday Night Wars began in 1995. They were not true competition to WWE until that point. TNA is just over ten-years-old, so though they're taking longer, but the point I'm getting at is that WCW took time to become competition, just as TNA is taking time to do so. But it could take someone like Shane McMahon coming to help them out, but at the same time I can't help recalling an article on TNA's "messiah complex," where they sacrifice long-term planning for the hope a new big name will finally turn things around, whether he's in a backstage role or an onscreen one.

There isn't a quick fix to make TNA the competition it wants to be. It has too many problems built up for something like that.

The shows are becoming a bit monotonous in the middle section with 3/4 of these guys having squashes in a row for the past number of weeks. Is it time some of these guys moved onto proper feuds? There are only so many squashes you can see from one guy (esp Ryback/Clay) before they get boring.

They're good to get people on TV but they do need to interact with some bigger names soon.
