What are your thoughts on Malenko/Benoit vs Raven/Saturn at Spring Stampede '99? I've always been fairly fond of it -- great little underrated tag match. WCW probably should have had the tag straps on the line, as Kidman and Mysterio (the champs) had a match for the Cruiserweight Championship on that same show (I believe).

I remember liking it. I remember the tag titles being pretty solid back then.

I quite enjoyed Benoit/Malenko as champions and partners. They did all the little things that many of today's performers don't do -- whether it be something as simple as switching out of the match frequently, working a guy over together, or even something as trivial as switching out of the match without tagging while the ref's not looking. They played their characters, as Horsemen, to absolute perfection.

How much is it saying that Cena could go from getting nuclear heat at Money In The Bank last year to having the Chicago crowd on their feet after beating Brock Lesnar of all people this year?

You think WWE will care enough about SmackDown! to have Lesnar appear on there maybe once or twice?

What's the best case you can remember of two awful guys somehow putting on a semi-decent match?

I was going to say something regarding ROH and I totally forgot. I know you're not huge on them, but their shows are fun in person when you stop caring about selling and psychology and just enjoy the action.

Edit: I remember! It was regarding Chikara too. Thoughts on lucha tag rules? It was a Chikara show to start, and it was a eight person tag match. When you go through, under, or over the ropes it is a tag. I was tripping out like "THIS FUCKING REF ISN'T DOING HIS JOB PROPERLY!!!!", until Thriller explained it to me.

They're different numbers. The buyrate, which is a much smaller number (1.0 is usually considered good) is like a TV rating as opposed to total viewers which is self explanatory.

Without that or Cena, probably not. However they've done such a horrible job at hyping up house shows anymore that it doesn't matter much either way.
