I just saw your SummerSlam 2003 review and you were totally shitting over the EC main event, giving it even a worse grade than this year's Mania ME. I wonder if you'd still stand by that opinion or if you just had a bad day when reviewing it, because I thought it was awesome. The crowd was totally into it the whole match, I loved the early interaction between Jericho and Michaels (partly because the great Mania match wasn't that long before) who were the small men having to fight the powerhouses, Orton's early character, Nash trying to decimate the weaker opponents but being duped by HBK and Y2J, HHH cowardly hiding after being superkicked when trying to enter, Goldberg's highly anticipated entrance and havoc wrecking (with spearing Jericho through a cell - although the back-to-back eliminating was a bit too much for me), the showdown of the powerful monster trying to get the terrified champion, Flair trying his best to hinder the inevitable and Goldberg crushing the plexiglass anyway. The finish could be better played out, but I don't generally disagree with how it ended when the smirky faction capitalized on the carelessness of Goldberg. And I didn't find the commentary that annoying. I guess watching it again out of historical context makes it much better, but I don't get why it was "horrible".
