Cena sells 5x more merchandise than Daniel Bryan (number 2 merch mover), what do you think the main reason behind this is? Popularity or better distribution(i.e. having his own clothing line available at kmart)?

I'm leaning towards distribution, though I'm sure being insanely popular and promoted for ten years doesn't hurt either.

Do you think TNA should go back to airing 12 (real) pay-per-views a year? Because the idea of having 4 creatively well-built pay-per-views doesn't seem to have been a success.
Also, do you think the free special shows (No Surrender, Turning Point, Destination-X etc.) have any role in the failure of the 4-PPV concept?

There is always alot of talk and speculation that centers around Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels with respect to 97. Especially when it comes to just what was supposed to happen with the two at WrestleMania 13. Now Shawn's "smile" promo was after the Rumble so I would have to think that the way we saw the Rumble play out was the original plan.

Now as for the aftermath and leading up to Mania was the fatal 4 way match already scheduled for In Your House as maybe a #1 contenders match since the finish of the Rumble was suspect? Or did that match just come about as a result of Shawn dropping the title as to crown a new champ?

Also, with Shawn winning at the Rumble I would have to think that he was intended to go into Mania the champ. If that's so is it known who he would have faced and what the outcome would have been? If not, was the plan always to have Sid and Taker for the title? Or was it something else entirely?

That he's much more popular than others, despite what the internet would have you think.

No. They can't handle it. 6 sounds good.

It was scheduled as a #1 contenders match and was made into a title match.

It was going to be Bret beating SHawn for the title, then Bret taking the title from Austin (you read that right) and then Austin taking it from Bret at Mania 14. We wound up getting the only thing they could cobble together.

Is Wade Barrett's gimmick 'Saturday Morning Cartoon Villain'?

What touches from your favourite Saturday Morning cartoon villain(s) would you like to see Bad News Barrett add to his act?

I was working my way through the reactions thread relating to the Chris Benoit tragedy earlier today (no real reason other than I needed a break from writing an essay).

There seems to be a violent cocktail of people just outright acting on pure rage and many making up complete and utter bollocks in order to preserve Benoit as a hero and great wrestler.

I'm assuming this was the online reaction in general and indeed when you heard about it, what was your initial reaction?

Do you think it would be a good or bad idea for D Bry to hold the title until Survivor Series where he drops it to Lesnar, and Lesnar goes on to drop it at Wrestlemania 31 to someone like Reigns or Cesaro?

Any idea on who would have taken the title from Bret for Austin to then get his first reign before Bret would have beat Austin to set up Mania 14?

That could work.

Probably Sid.

Would the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal be a good idea for WrestleMania's in the future?

What was the best non-WrestleMania Pay-Per-View during the New Generation?

Is it safe to assume that the reason there was a drop off in fandom after the attitude era is because most of those people weren't wrestling fans but fans of Austin, Rock, etc?
