is it just me or does the SmackDown Chamber this year seem extremely odd? What I mean is that the options coming out of it seem completely counter to what has been speculated and suggested for months now. With that said, who do you think wins and who is the champion going into Mania?

With the insane reactions Santino got at Royal Rumble 2011 and Elimination Chamber 2012, would you like to see Santino win the World Heavyweight championship even if just for one night?

Hire someone that actually knows how to run a wrestling company.

Yeah, a lot of vindictive fans say WWE putting the title on Rock is just as bad as WCW putting it on Arquette. Most of them are the same fans who cheered their asses off them Rock beat Cena at Mania last year.

Anyway I was glancing over your RAW review, seems we have pretty similar opinions on Swagger and Mantel's new angle and where it will end up. Do you think the whole angry American gimmick is something they are trying to push long term, or just something they are doing in the interim to give Swagger some cheap heat to kick start the push he seems to be getting?

Personally I think Swagger is a guy who needs a mouthpiece, and in the seemingly likely event that they ax Mantel and this gimmick sooner rather than later, who do you think would be a good mouthpiece for Swagger?

It sounds like they're trying to put him against Cesaro, who fits the description of someone who looks and sounds different. Why I'm supposed to care for one of them I'm not sure.

I think it's Orton or Henry facing either Alberto or somehow Sheamus.

Could you see Jericho winning the Chamber and Ziggler cashing in on Del Rio for the title, leading to Ziggler vs. Jericho for the WHC? Also, thoughts on possibly Mexican Hero Del Rio vs. Nationalist Jack Swagger?

I doubt it would be Jericho.

That's a possibility, but it exposes the flaw in Swagger's character: why doesn't he try to get rid of someone like Cesaro too? Doesn't he fit the exact kind of problem that Zeb had with foreigners?

What kind of shenanigans do you see happening due to the new stipulation added to Rock/Punk? Seems to me a smart heel would just have Shield come out and lightly attack Punk until Rock gets DQ'd and loses the belt... It would be way more difficult to cause a countout without DQing Punk.

I doubt that would work as Vince doesn't buy it and wouldn't go for it. Odds are it won't be much.

On the other hand, he was MDC for longer than he would have been WWF Champ. The fact that it guaranteed him a decent spot and thus pay (though a worse paying one than the 'Mania -> SS run) for a long time might have made it more worthwhile in the long run.

Yeah but when he was MDC he was a lot further down the card. I don't think DiBiase vs. Virgil was drawing much money at all. Also being WWF Champion in the 80s more or less guarantees you a job for life.
