I was watching Royal Rumble 2000 last night and when Hardcore Holly came out the announcer said something along the lines of "allegedly weighing 400 pounds...", what was that all about?
Also, did you notice the barbed wire 2 by 4 switcheroo in the Cactus Jack - HHH street fight match? Last night was the first time it clicked that the second 2 by 4's spool of barbed wire was a lot neater after re-emerging from the Spanish announce table.

It was a gimmick the Hollies were doing where they said they were superheavyweights and would fight monsters.
Yep, the one they pulled out from the table was fake barbed wire. That was a common occurrence. Whenever HHH doesn't smack the steps with his sledgehammer it was a fake too.
You've probably seen a lot more of his matches but know him better as Smash from Demolition or the Repo Man.

Most fans online don't despise him.
The best thing Punk could have done is what happened on Monday: establishing that he was behind Shield. At the end of the day, heels are supposed to lie, not say stuff that fans can see common sense in.

The reason I mentioned about people despising Punk is the comments over the last two days on these forums. I have a few general wrestling questions for you:
-There is no doubt SMH is a intelligent biz woman but how much do you think WWE would suffer when VKM steps aside and she's still handling the wrestling product
-How much better would WWE be if HHH was solely in charge of the wrestling product by WM 31
-Are Indy wrestlers doing themselves a strong disservice to their career if they just sign with the WWE for a big payday knowing in advance they may not be in the ME picture within seven years
-Do you think the negative reaction to TNA would lessen if they just had EB and didn't have HH
-Do you think TNA will ever get half as close to the WWE as WCW did
-Whats the #1 thing TNA must do over the next five years to increase their profits by 5-7% each year within that timetable

What I meant is some fans refuse to watch TNA cause they strongly disliked Russo and they hate Bischoff and Hogan and would it be better for some fans if TNA just had Bischoff and not Hogan. I watch wrestling regardless of who's in management but I do think some fans won't watch certain promotions because they don't like who's in management
I have been saying over the last two years that within five years that between DGate USA,ROH,and TNA two of them would merge. Of those three promotions which two that merged would be better for the industry and would it make some sort of difference if that new promotion would succeed better than being by themselves

It just really annoys me when they roll about 10 foot on to the stage, and stop. Just pointless in my opinion.

Eh some do but I think they're a small minority.
It didn't work for Pro Wrestling USA and they had way more talent than those companies outside of maybe TNA. TNA isn't merging with anyone soon. Other indies might though.
The second half of 1996 and all of 1997. The answer in short: the NWO. WWF had nothing to stop them and it wasn't until WCW shot themselves in the foot, picked up the gun and shot themselves in the other foot, then shot themselves in whatever other body parts they could hit that WWF was really able to catch up.
I'm pretty neutral on them. They're a nice touch.
