Did the Internet make wrestling fans stupid or were they stupid to begin with? Reading the comments on the main page makes me think it's the latter.

We were always stupid. The Internet just gave us the tools to show it. There's an old usenet thing that goes back to the AE that shows the IWC of the day bitching about the same things we do now.

Don't you think though that TNA going extremely attitude era-esque would appeal to a niche audience and bring in more viewers? I feel like they're being too safe, but they have an opportunity to try to close the gap that they aren't seeing/taking.

Source: Vince Russo; But I see his point

True. I think it makes sense for them since they're not really making up much ground with their current format.

I listened to a Kurt Angle shoot from 08 or 09, and he said something like "this is the year" TNA's going to really compete with WWE, and he said that within a year they'd be significantly bigger, and it sounded like he really believed what he was saying, not just bs-ing. Now it's 2012 and their ratings have barely changed.

How do feel on the rumors of Aries/Styles main eventing Destination X?

That it'll make the X Division seem like something that matters for about two weeks and then it'll be back to normal.

I've heard that for years about TNA. I'm still waiting.

With rumors circulating about a possible resurgence of cruiserweights something popped into my head, and I think you've touched on it before. Do cruiserweights just need to go out and put on fun matches with stories thrown in? Is that the best formula to go with when talking about cruiserweights?

Yep. There's a lot of money to be made just going out there, doing flips and popping the crowd. A TON of guys in WCW made very nice careers out of it.

No. The title hasn't meant jack in years and DX last year made it seem important for about two weeks. I'm assuming that's what they're doing this year.
