Is hanging up the boots
Can somebody please tell me if Limewire slows down your computer. Because I am thinking about downloading the program for my laptop, but I really don't want to slow it down.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Do you use it to download music?

Because thats the only reason I'm thinking about getting it.

Careful how you use Limewire. You can get in trouble with some of the file sharing that goes on with that software. My tip- if it's "free" to download, avoid it. Sample it, then if you like the song, pay to download it.

Rusty never pays for music :p

I've never figured out how to get songs from others' itunes libraries onto mine. It'd be so much easier than borrowing CD's.

do you have Nero? if so access it as if your going to burn the songs onto a cd then copy and paste them. thats how i do it.

No. Limewire doesn't. But Ares does. Shit, when I used to turn it on at work, it sucked up so much of the wireless network that everybody else's computers were unable to connect or had limited connectivity.

well for me it did when i didn't have broadband. but now it is all fine. if it slows ur computer down i say delete it then download it again. of and sometimes in songs the person who put the song on there says there company or what ever. like this. "black and beats five baby" or something lie that is just one of the sayings

over the eagles Rookie.

Limewire is fine for me. Besides, if it decided to mess with your computer than you can always light your computer on fire. That will fix all.

It doesn't slow your computer down, but it gets frustrating because for me, it connects when it wants to.

I would be damned before I buy another CD or song. They make enough money as it is to begin with.
