Bell Rings.
Morrison & Michaels face off, staring each other down in the center of the ring. Michaels looks tense and Morrison has a smirk on his face. He struts up towards Michaels, who stares, letting no sense of feeling show. Out of nowhere, HBK strikes him with a fist to the face, flooring Morrison. He stands up, hand on his face, looking shocked. He charges towards Michaels with a clothesline, but it's ducked and when he turns around, he's kicked in the Gut and suplexed into the middle of the ring. Shawn smiles, stands over Morrison and hits a DX Chop. Morrison lifts a leg and lowblows Shawn, flooring him. Morrison exits the ring to get a ladder. He puts it in the ring, and follows it in. He picks up Shawn and slams him down onto the ladder. Morrison climbs the top rope, going for an elbow drop on Shawn, but he rolls, with Morrion landing flat on the ladder. The pain is awash his face, wincing. Shawn lies on the other side of the ring, pleased, yet his back in pain.
Eventually, the men get back to their feet. Shawn does his usual kip-up, but EXACTLY the same time as John does it. Michaels does not look pleased and signals to the crowd to cheer him on. Michaels runs towards Morrison, with a knee to the gut, then bounces off the ropes and delivers a Bulldog to John. He then turns him over, and sets him up into a Figure-4 Leg Lock. Morrison's face is writhing in agony and he taps and taps, but the ref reminds him it doesn't matter. Shawn eventually breaks the hold, and picks up the ladder. He uses it to sweep Morrison off to the side, and then sets it up central in the Ring. He starts climbing as Morrison gets to his feet. Morrison climbs gradually, punching Michaels through the rungs. He takes over, climbing up towards the title. Shawn follows and both men are atop the ladder. Morrison attempts a kick to Shawn's head, but it is caught, and Michaels pushes him down. Morrison comes crashing down to the mat, and Michaels stands tall atop the ladder. He disregards the title and hits the HeartBreaker Elbow Drop from the ladder. The crowd goes crazy and HBK riles up the crowd, standing the corner of the ring, ready for some Sweet Chin Music. He is smiling whilst counting to 5, slamming his foot down on every number. As he attempts to hit his finisher, Morrison ducks it. As HBK turns around, Morrison delivers the Sweet Chin Music on Michaels. The crowd is shocked, booing Morrison left, right and center. All he can do is grin, as he stands yet again in the corner of the Ring, this time, hitting a Starship Pain on a battered Michaels. Morrison can look no more pleased with himself, and he goes to climb the ladder. He looks a dead cert to win. HBK is staggering, crawling on the mat, helpless. Morrison is at the top of the ladder, just trying to reach, when suddenly, the Ladder tips, and he goes falling out of the Ring. HBK eventually manages to get up to his feet and falls out of the Ring. He pulls the top from the Announce Table.
Michaels walks round to Morrison, picking him. He Irish Whips him into the Steel Steps. Again, he picks him up and walks around to the Announce Table. He delivers a quick blasted Sweet Chin Music, so that Morrison falls onto the Announce Table. HBK takes another Ladder from under the ring, sets it up outside and climbs. Michaels poses, does a DX chop and hits a picture-perfect Moonsault onto John. Both men are lying with an Announce Table beneath them. Eventually, they both get to their feet. You can see facially how much the match has taken toll on them. They share chops, with Morrison getting the upper hand, followed by him throwing Shawn into the Ring Post and rolling him into the Ring. He picks up the Ladder from the outside and brings it into the Ring. Morrison stands up with the Ladder in his hands, but does not notice HBK is up, and he delivers a Sweet Chin Music into the Ladder, hitting Morrison in the face. HBK decides it's time to end this. He climbs the Ladder which is STILL standing in the Ring, and gets to the top. Morrison, just as HBK reaches the top, picks up his Ladder and smashes Michaels in the face. He falls from the top, onto the Ring Ropes. Morrison climbs the Ladder, pulls down the WWE Championship, and falls from the top of the Ladder to win the match. He shouts out to the crowd, who boo at the top of their voices, as he's won. He couldn't look happier, until he eventually turns around into one final Sweet Chin Music, with HBK ending the show, posing above him, sending people home happy.
