Where do you stand with this guy? Alot of people seem to be against him due to mic skills or whatever but I think the guy should have a bright future.

For one he's a great heel, even if he can get tangled in promos (then again I think John Cena's the most un-natural talker in the WWE), but JN's got an x-factor reminiscent of the Hardys when they first came to the WWE. He shows some hesitance on moves but to be fair he's doing well considering he's only 2/3 years out of the 'Tough Enough' comp. Moves like his standing shooting star press and capoeira leg-drop are so refreshing and exciting in the context of the limited/stale moveset shared by pretty much everyone accross the three rosters.

What are your opinions?

i think he'll turn into one of raws major heels. yea he has some work to do w/ his mic skills but it could be worse. i like him tho. people will get use to him

Why is Nitro the future? What do you like about him? Please add some insight to your posts.

Just saw that ladder match. I got a new respect for this cat. Thatwas the best pur e ladder match I seen since Wrestlemania 10 with HBK and Ramon. theres been better tLC matches, but not a pure ladder match. Nitro is on his way.

hes doing alrite considering hes from tough enough. also, having melina wiv u sure does help u out.

Agreed. I did like Johnny Nitro before this match but after seeing it it really opened my eyes to the fact that the guy can actually work an awesome match. At the moment he may not have MIC Skills but they can be developed and worked on. And from seeing him live 2 times, I can honestly say he is a very entertaining wrestler.

Also I agree with the statement that he'll be a great heel in RAW's Future.

Even if so now, he is a great heel.

I thought MNM's split was bad but it has done wonders for Johnny's career.

He has 1: Ring skills
2: A valet
3: A great heel persona that can only get better as time goes on
4: Has been a 2 time Intercontinental Champion
:wwf: :wwf: :wwf:

i dont like his gimmick, it's just lame to me. Who really believes he hangs out with KFed or Paris Hilton, or any celeb to be honest?...Melina would be hotter if she put a bag over her head...but...the kid has skills, and he is still learning...and he impresses me more each week...and for that to be his first ladder match, he put on one hell of a show...the sky's the limit for Nitro

Nitro is great.... Looke his mic skills suck but like somonesaid Cena is un-natural and he is a champion who cuts some of the crappiest promos ever. Now Nitro is like HBK back in 1992... Valet, a IC champ... And was in a sick ladder match just like Nitro. Once Nitro gets better on the mic he could be in the hunt for the world title.....So he is the future.... As for Orton being the future he has got to get his attitude under control otherwise he is going to self destruct.

Who believes that even more far out gimmicks are real? We're supposed to suspend our belief with WWE just like with movies, t.v shows, etc. It's strange how one can believe that two people that hate each other would willingly wait a week to have the biggest things happen, that they happen to end matches at just the right time at the end of shows, that they generally communicate via microphone, that cameras happen to be catching things at the perfect time, etc yet can't suspend belief about a character.

Who believes that even more far out gimmicks are real? We're supposed to suspend our belief with WWE just like with movies, t.v shows, etc. In reference to that comment and other past ones regarding "how are we supposed to believe so and so's gimmick" it's strange how one can believe that two people that hate each other would willingly wait a week to have the biggest things happen, that they wouldn't literally kill each other if they have that much disgust for each other, that they happen to end matches at just the right time at the end of shows, that they generally communicate via microphone, that cameras happen to be catching things at the perfect time, etc yet can't suspend belief about a character's gimmick, knowing that's exactly what it is...a character.

i am 30 years old, i understand you are supposed to suspend belief just like in any other forms of entertainment, but i just think his wannabe celeb gimmick is hollow, because they somewhat try to put it over as if it is real, like he IS getting hounded by papparazi, or hanging in the clubs, like these douchey celebs even know who he is in the first place...it's not as far out there as say Undertaker or Kane or most of the awful gimmicks of the early/mid 90's, but like i said, although his gimmick is corny i still think he has the goods to deliver in the ring, and i look past it...those are MY thoughts on Nitro

i think any talent that is young and can wrestle with any veteran has a bright future..orton needs to sort himself out but he is really good in the ring.. the whole cocky asshole persona is great. i think that nitro will be great in the future because his moves are great and he pulls em off well.

If he put on good matches, the gimmick will not matter. Shawn Michaels said no one wanted to be the boy toy, the heartbreak kid. He had to put on great matches to get over. That is all anyone has to do.

nitro is awesome in the ring. I think he has more potential than Carlito and Jeff. Hes got the look and skills to be champ in the future. Carlito doesnt suck but he jumps around too much but both desperately need a finisher. IMO carlito shouldn't use a backcracker. It should be a set up move for maybe a top rope finisher?

Nitro's a cool high flier, he works well with Jeff but I beleive MNM should have remained. I'd much rather see Hardy Boyz vs. MNM in a TLC match, then Jeff vs. Nitro in a ladder match.

His gimmick is perfectly suited to his persona or what the WWE wants you to believe. MNM was all about fame, camera, lights, papparazi etc, and this continued when they split. I can compare Johhny Nitro to one Shelton Benjamin. Both have great skill in-ring with amazing movesets, but both are not up to date with their ''mic'' skills. The reason Nitro is more 'over' as a heel is maybe because he has that Melina as her ring side assistant.
Johnny Nitro will remain IMO in the mid card division for quite some time yet, but I will look forward to his matches, espeically agaisnt Jeff Hardy, Shelton, and Carlito, since all can pull off unpredictable moves from nowhere.

johnny nitro has terrible mic skills. thats the only thing i dont like about him. hes a great heel, fun to watch in the ring, unique entrance, a very sexy manager, and was also one of the best tag teams when he was with mercury. ive always said orton is the future and im not gonna change that. but johnny nitro is a potential main eventer

I was ringside for an MnM v London/Kendrick match at a local house show just before they split, and i tell you this was probably the best pure wrestling match i have ever seen live (been to 7WWE events) but Nitro has been even more awsome since going to raw, i can see him v orton in the future for the title

I see them as most the future

Orton has alreadly prove himself
face many Legends
became youngest WHC
7 month reign as IC champ
Now one half the world tag team champions
has not lost as SS

Back on topic

Nitro has done well in my view and that Ladder match he had with Jeff was great aswell i think his got the mic skills and the wrestling move to be a future heel in the WWE.

Nitro has been stepping it up the last few weeks. That drop kick from the top of the ladder was sick! The week before he pulled off a nasty looking corkscrew moonsault (which Jeff Hardy inexplicably turned into a roll-up pin). I wasn't sold on Nitro, but I'll be watching his matches more closely now.

Personally i've liked nitro for awile now, and am impressed with his ring skills. He needs to improve on the mic more, but he's getting better since his mnm days. I like him in the ic division, and think that he makes a good ic champ. He could also have good feuds with main eventers. not saying he should win the title, but he can have feuds with guys who aren't exactly in the title hunt then
