It is interesting to see him left off the card. I mean, the only thing you could really do is team him with Matt to go against the Hart Dynasty because it's been Matt and John helping Jeff and HD helping Punk so the logical thing is to have a tag match. You couldn't just throw a match together for Matt v John because something on that would need some kind of build up to give a reason why 2 faces are going to be wrestling eachother...

I wish he was on the card but I like the slow build approach they have given him. He'll be champ within the year easy if not sooner, which at this point it def looks that way. He's been booked strong, and perhaps Raw and ECW should take note of what's going on on SmackDown! I know the shows are all different, but at least 1 guy on each brand can be built up this way at a time.

As for Summer Slam it kinda sucks that he won't be on the card but perhaps he can watch the World Title match at ringside or do a run in if Punk cheats (even though Matt may end up doing that). I mean who knows. I'm sure there's a good reason for not putting him on the card.
