James Storm visited a specialist on Sunday to see when he will be cleared to wrestle. He posted an update on his Twitter account: “Thanks for all the wishes but wasn’t cleared to WRESTLE yet. Another check up in 2 weeks.”

This means that Storm could be forced to miss the Final Resolution pay-per-view.

I guess this clears the air on whether his injury was kayfabe or real. It's real alright. And has been seemingly taking it's toll on storylines at the moment. It may have been what caused Storm's reign to end after a week and it's currently delaying his still unannounced but certainly pushed match with Kurt Angle and leaves his rematch with Bobby Roode in the air. It may keep AJ in the title picture, but it's gonna make Final Resolution look like a replay of Turning Point as currently the only match not to be a rematch from Turning Point is Mickie James vs Gail Kim. What are your thoughts on this situation?

I thought it was already pretty much settled that the injury was legit but regardless I'm very upset. I was so excited when he won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and when he lost it I was happy for Roode but mostly just depressed about the short reign for Storm. Then on top of that I thought that we would get not only an oppertunity for him to win it back but potentially a very kickass feud with his former partner but then the hit from behind and concussion bullshit started, now on top of that we finally found out who took him out backstage and now he might not get to wrestle at another PPV. :banghead:
Not only does this really set him back but mostly it sucks because that is going to hurt the Final Resolution card pretty dull, like you said it'll basically be a repeat of Turning Point. I just hope that he heals up fast so he can whoop Angle and get in there with Roode for the title.

As much as I'd never wish ill-will on anyone, or make fun of their injuries... how ironic would it be if the thing that actually injured him (if I remember correctly it was a concussion) was actually the beer bottle shot he took from Bobby Roode! I'm not saying that's what did it, and for all I know that "concussion" could have been a made-up injury to mask a real problem, but how many people has Storm taken out on Impact using that bottle?

It's always frustrating to see injuries messing up storylines, but I try to remember there's really nothing they can do about it. They can try and keep themselves safe, and if it really did come down to a beer bottle shot...shame on TNA for allowing unprotected shots to the head! Again, fully ironic speculation, nothing more.

It's real. I talked to him in the bar last night after the Impact taping. He has a crease in his head to prove it. How do I know its not a work? He was drinking diet coke and not a beer. Ive never seen the guy drink anything but beer when hes out.

I'm glad that the match is not happening yet. They already rushed Roode's heel turn so why rush this match when it NEEDS to be saved for a bigger PPV event? I think that pushing it back to Genesis is a good idea because it prevents TNA from rushing the match. It could potentially be a lot better if they are patient with it and let it build up. Let Roode get some more heel heat, let Storm win over more fans. This could be the feud of the year if they do things right. Rushing matches is certainly not going to make that happen. As much as I hate to say it, this is for the best. AJ or someone else could still steal the show with Roode at Final Resolution before Storm comes for his match at Genesis. I'm not worried about it, I think it's going to work out fine.
