James Storm finished with TNA...

Yeah, this whole thing is so hard to keep track of. Who is going to GFW, who is part of this merger/invasion/whatever. Who is legitimately gone, who is back on a per appearance deal, etc.

Storm could probably use the time away — there wasn't much left for him to do at the moment, and the Revolution was such a failed attempt at what could have been a nice take on a type of Raven's Flock.

Agreed - my problem is that I am not really one for chasing any promotion without TV in the UK and I do love me some Cowboy.

As far as the GFW thing, if Storm is involved who better do they have to defend TNA than the only guy left who has been there since day 1?

Can't wait until those six months are up, and we get to see Samoa Joe versus James Storm for the NXT championship.

Storm should have stayed WHC when he won the title. He was so over it was insane. Storm does not need TNA.

Exactly. Sure, Aries was red hot at the time too but they could have waited a few months. The Aries title run wasn't that good anyway given that he lost it to Hardy about 3 months later and defended it like twice. I liked where Roode and Storm was going and while I enjoyed their match at BFG, it would have been a lot more special had the title been on the line, it's because of the championship the feud had even begun.

Aries was red hot but they could have given him a slow build to get him waaaayyyyy over. But they rushed it to give it to Hardy for hid also lackluster run.

I have always wondered about TNA's logic. Well there lack of logic.

It's not really an issue over logic. Logically most things they do makes sense, contrary to what most post around here will have you believe. What doesn't make sense is their impulse. You can have something occur that logically makes all the sense in the world, but logic only dictates a portion of the story-telling. Pace also matters, so when something logical occurs at a snails pace, or at the pace of a jack rabbit, neither tends to feel like it was done right.

When James Storm is made champion and beaten a week later, it's not his being beaten that defies logic. Logic tells you that it makes sense for a face Storm beating a heel Angle to become champion only to lose the title to a heel Roode — his former partner/best friend. What doesn't make sense is that it occurs one week later. Impulse.

TNA's logic is an often mischaracterization. Their impulse is what they deserve so much more flack for, because so many of their would-be momentum shifting choices came across premature. Not illogical.

That's why some of the best work they've done is with the slowest burns. ECIII's rise to the top, for example, and eventual championship victory were fantastically booked, logical, and not at all impulsive.
