Jack Evans: HBMFM

Cena's #1 In My Heart

Getting Noticed By Management
That's..

Jack Evans Has.Blown.My.Fucking.Mind

From the moment he got onto the entrance ramp he did a crazy ass moonsault and landed on his feet...

I was digging his entrance music and his style I guess..

Then he pulls off some matrix shit that was like whoa..

then a 630? I never seen that before... That's a double flip for fucks sake.

I really don't know who I want to win the X-Divison Contract..

First I thought I wanted Austin Aries... I never gave too shits about Zema Ion or whatever the fuck his name is... then comes Low Ki.. and I'm like... dat's my boy right there... now after seeing Jack Evans... I just don't know...

How about give all of them contracts?

That match was worth rewatching on the good ol DVR

(Weed + Alcohol + Impact Wrestling = Good Times)

Jack Evans won't be winning the Contract, unless he has came to TNA on a deal with AAA, which would have seen Jarrett go the other way. And Jeff Jarrett for Jack Evans really isn't an equal trade, so the Mexican's would ought to get a slap across the head for it.

Jack is a great high-flyer, dude could flip while taking a dump to be honest. He used to do nothing but in Ring of Honor, and then when I saw a few of his matches in AAA he was doing the same thing. Its entertaining to watch but it really does become boring after a few matches from him. Still, he is indeed an entertaining wrestler.

But he has two problems. One is that Jack Evans is known for having a huge attitude problem, it wasn't just because he hung around Teddy Hart, Evans himself is known for being full of himself. That'll definitely get him into trouble in TNA of all places. And then you just have to look at him to guess the next... You can see his ribs. The dude is scrawney. And pale. He looks like Sheamus on a hunger strike.

I can't see him being the one that they bring in. Shima doesn't have the name of the moves of Aries and Low-Ki so you can bet your ass It'll be Aries or Low-Ki who takes it at Destination X.

I agree that Evans would get boring after a few weeks. Its like you can flip....I get it. As a fan of PWO i would love to see Shima win, but i believe it will be Low Ki

He tries a little too hard to get the fans pumped up and i mean honestly he's good entertainment not x-division material

I'm going to try to be all "inb4haterz" with this post.

People will complain that Jack Evans only does flips. I haven't seen enough Jack Evans matches to know whether he puts a lot of psychology into them. However, what he does do blows my puny mind. It's entertaining - and at the end of the day - isn't that why we watch wrestling? To be entertained? I don't watch it to think "hmmm, he sold that clothesline very well". I watch it to be entertained.

So what if Evans isn't realistic in the ring. First of all, it's fucking wrestling. From Lou Thesz to Evan Bourne, none of it can ever be deemed realistic and true to a real style of fighting. Secondly, isn't it refreshing to see someone just go out there and be entertaining? Isn't it refreshing to see someone not worry about if this looks real, and if that looks real. He just goes out there and tries to wow the fans to the best of his ability. To me, that's wonderful.

He's real raw. Five years from now, he'll be on TV i'm sure. He's exciting, but I see zero technical wrestling ability there. For right now, Low-Ki's gotta be the guy. Too many things going for him.

He's "real raw"? Does that mean inexperienced? Because if it does you clearly don't know what you're talking about. He's an 11 year veteran of wrestling. If wrestling all around the world for over a decade doesn't make you experienced, I don't don't know what does.

And you see "little technical wrestling ability"? He's one of the best high-fliers I've ever seen. From a technical point of view, he's sound. You wouldn't be able to do what he does if you're not technically good.

All I know is if Evans, Low Ki, or Aries wins the match at Destination X it adds a very legitimate player right to the top of the X-division ranks.

This little tournament/showcase that TNA set-up really has worked out well. All the matches were entertaining and good representations of the X-division, and the pay-off match promises to be just as good.

Yeah Evans is great. I dont know if I could get into him every week though. Theres only so much you can do with flips.

I would LOVE to see Austin Aries get it. Hes got a great look, hes great in the ring, he has a huge following and hes awesome on the mic. With that being said, I would love to see 5 or 6 of the guys we saw throughout the tournament get offered at least some form of contract.

I would LOVE to see Jack Evans in TNA. Can you imagine an Evans v AJ Styles match. That would be one of the best displays of high-flying wrestling of all time.

Yeah, he is mainly a spot monkey...but one of the best in the world at it. And he is incredibly entertaining. I love his gimmick, his style and I love seeing the guy work. He would be a HUGE fan favourite in both TNA and the WWE (although WWE would make him tone his shit down dramatically).

Not every match has to be a Kurt Angle technical masterpiece. Sometimes you just need to be entertained, see some spectacular moves and just enjoy it.

Jack Evans is perfect for this, I would be very happy to see him win the match and the contract.

Jack Evans is exactly what the X-Division needs. Period.

While Aries does come with a big following, i just dont see him getting the contract. Lo-ki was in TNA before ( some great matches ) so he might end up sticking around anyway. Contract matches have a tendency to eventually have more than one winner if others impress. TNA & Lo-Ki have history so it wouldnt be a stretch if he is asked to come back anyway.

For this match up though, it should be Evans. Put him against Shelley or AJ, and that would steal the show every night. He may be a 'loose cannon', but half the roster is full of themselves & deemed a bit crazy. (Hardys, Flair, Hogan, etc) TNA would definately benefit from having Evans on each week. He does things in the ring most wouldnt try & alot of fans havent seen action like that in years.

The OP hasnt seen a 630 before? That is a huge statement on the current lack of great action currently in TNA & WWE.

If you havent already, check out some of his matches. You will be impressed.

To be completely honest, I don't see what the big deal is at this time. To me, the guy's come across as just another spot monkey as of right now. I'm reserving final judgement until I get more of an opportunity to see what he's got. Sure, he has some high energy flips and suicide dives and all this. However, there've been LOTS to pass through TNA that've had that too and most of them are either gone or are so low on the totem pole that it's easy to forget that they're even still working for TNA.

However, all the flips and suicide dives all he's got? If so, then there's nothing to get worked up about. Again, if that's all he brings to the table, he'll be talked about excitedly for a little while before excitement quickly starts to fade and he's just another guy with nothing to offer but endless high spots.

Evans really impressed me last night. I haven't seen much of the guy outside of a few highlight reel YouTube clips, so admittedly I knew very little of him other than all the "spot monkey" criticisms users on this forum wrote of him.

That said, I think he's exactly what's needed in this X Division right now, or at the very least in that four-way match at Destination X, because though his gimmick is his acrobatic ability, it's so over-the-top that it sends the crowd into a frenzy regardless of how meaningless or meaningful the feud really is.

Guys like Amazing Red are similar in stature, and lack equally in personality, but Evans takes it one step farther, similar to what Matt Sydal is/was capable of in that just the ability to do a 630 alone is enough to warrant giving him a longer look than any other generic X Division star.

I personally don't care if he is already being labeled a Spot Monkey by people after watching him wrestle a 5 minute match and saying all he could do his flips because thats what the X-Division should mainly be about guys who wrestle at a fast pace and can do Insane things in the ring. I find this style to be Very exciting and fun to watch. Evans was instantly LOVED by the crowd because of the flips and acrobatic moves he did in the ring. When I he went up to the top how was I was just thinking that he would do a 450 and then he did the move and went HOLY SHIT he just did a 630 and I thought that was Amazing. Jack Evans is probably capable of doing even more impressive things in the ring and I would love to see him stay around and become a fixture of the X-Divsion.

Jack Evans is goodin the ring. For those who don't know, he was in TNA before as the Captain/Leader of Team Canada before Petey "Canadian Destroyer" Williams took over the leadership.

Jack Evans is good but the most we need is another generic wrestler who just does flips even though he does have that whole breakdancing persona going for him but no need in bringing in Jack Evans when we have Amazing Red.

I don't understand why everyone's hating on Jack, the dude is damn near amazing, and makes a lot of high flyers look like scrubs, plus he'll make the x-division way more exiting.

The Man, The Myth, The Legend, Jack Evans from the Heavens.

He also makes grown men with 20 pounds of lean musle look like bitches who can get taken out by a 120 pound dude who looks like a 7th grader. Don't get me wrong, I love that shit Jack does, but he needs to be booked carefully against guys his size and bigger.

I haven't really seen anyone hating on the guy in this thread. If anything, you're the one that's taking it to the extreme, except in the opposite direction. The man's had one 6 minute match in TNA and you're already calling him "The Man, The Myth, The Levent, Jack Evans from the Heavens"?

Not embracing Evans to the same degree you already have isn't hating on the guy. Pointing out that he's, allegedly, had attitude problems isn't hating on the guy. Waiting to see if he brings more to the table than high spots isn't hating on the guy.

First of all he calls himself that. Second some people have said that he's a spot monkey that's all.

I've seen a lot of Jack Evens in AAA (Yeah, I watch AAA. So what if I don't speak Spanish?), and he's incredibly entertaining. Some people have mentioned the whole "spot monkey" thing, and he kind of is one, but he can put together some pretty cohesive matches. Besides, his main attraction is doing crazy flips-and-shit that almost no one else can; do you expect him not to? I look forward to seeing if Jack can get some work in TNA, though I'm rooting for A Double to win at Destination X. Hopefully, I can get some more Jack on my TV for a while.

i agree with the original poster why not give all 4 guys contracts? i know people are bashing jack evans but come on hes great in the ring and when it comes to the x division i just wanna see high flying guys who can put on a entertaining match and fly around the ring! and all 4 guys can do tht so hopefully in the end all 4 guys end up getting deals or atleast aries, evans and low ki!

I had never seen this guy before until watching iMPACT! And he defines exactly what the X-Division is. He looks as though he could flip and flop all night long with the best of them. And for the people branding him a spot monkey, do you not realise that's what the X-Division is all about. It's not about intriguing matches, it's about exciting matches.

I personally want A Double to win the contract so he can inject some personality into the X-Division but if TNA wants to continue to push the X-Division as a high flying, spot fest division then this Jack Evans is your man.

And your avatar and signature are Sin Cara? The man whose entire repertoire is arm drag variants and multiple hurricanranas. Me thinks your a Hypocrite. I don't dislike Cara as I know what he is capable of but until I see him actually hit his finisher correctly in WWE I say Jack Evans is better.

I enjoyed the match on IW but for me it was not as entertaining as the Aires or Low Ki match. Jack showed us some of his talent and abilities but I do not think he should win the contract, (if IW only signs hone guy) Austin Aires is a much better all rounder and my pick.

Jack Evans can do moves that I have not seen many others pull off but his look is not very impressive and his mic skills are average. I would like to see him in the X Division for a while but not ahead of the other talent fighting for the contract. Now if he came to replace a sacked Shannon Moore then I would be happy

He's a great tallent in my eyes. In one showing I liked him more than half the X roster atm. He good, but he is fucking tiny. If you want to bring in a guy who can do what Jack does then fine.

But make sure he can do more than just some cool spot moves. He's been in wrestling for 11 years? Cool, make sure the guy is a company guy. Someone you can put money into and make it back out of him. From what people have been saying his Bromance with Teddy Heart didn't help his ego any.

Second how good is he on the mic, I have seen highlight clips of him. But nothing on the mic. This isn't the indi's ware you can cut a generic 30 second ring promo every night because you're in a diffrent town. Tna is stationed in one town, and then branches out every so often.

He needs to be a total package, Austin and Lo-ki are. He from what I have saw isn't.
