Dark Match Winner
The two PPV's from the two major promotions, WWE and TNA (iMPACT! Wrestling) right now are shaping up to me two of my favorite Par-Per-Views of the year. They are both home to two of the most extreme match type's in all of professional wrestling, The Money in the Bank Ladder Match and The Ultimate X match. (My two personal favorite matches.)

The Money In The Bank PPV's feature three of my most anticipated matches, the Raw MITB, Smackdown! MITB and the John Cena Vs Cm Punk Match. I can not wait for any of these matches and i fully expect them all to be great. In fact Cm Punk Vs John Cena is argruably the most anticapated match of the year in eother brand. And coming the major success of last years MITB PPV one could only expect this one to be awesome.

On TNA's side, I am super pumped for three of their matches also, the AJ Styles vs Christopher Daniels, Jack Evans Vs Low Ki Vs Zema Ion Vs Austin Aries, and The Ultimate X Match. The match for the X-Division contracct is what im most excited for, because its involving three of my favorite wrestlers.

So in terms of anticaption the two PPV's are pretty equal, but what about you?

My Question is what PPV are you more excited for and which do you expect to do better in the end?

Note: Im not sure which section this thread should be in so if it needs to be moved then go ahead.

I am 100 times more excited for money in the bank than destination x. I'm really looking forward to all the matches at mitb except the divas match. While at destination x I'm only really looking forward to aj vs daniels and I'm slightly intrigued by joe vs kaz. I think tna did a bad job of hyping destination x
I had no clue their was an ultimate x match until I saw impact this Thursday and theirs nothing but a bunch of scrubs in it. My other problem with d-x is the fact that Abyss is the x division champion if Abyss beats Kendrick he's gonna face another scrub and if abyss loses to Kendrick he looks weak. I really hate the fact that a 300 pound monster is the x division champ. As much as it seems I'm hating on destination x I'm still really looking forward to it just not as near as I'm looking forward to mitb and I'm not buying d-x I'll be watching it for free.

I'm personally more pumped for Destination X. The whole card is stacked. Styles vs Daniels is always epic, the four way for the contract should be a fun match, ultimate x is never dull, Joe vs Kaz should be good, no matter how old they are I will always mark out for RVD vs Lynn, and Kendrick vs Abyss (which I think is the worst match on the card) will be an OK match at worst.

I'm also curious who douglas williams mystery opponent will be. I really have no clue who its going to be, But any match with Doug Williams promises to be solid.

If WWE does this right, MITB could easily be the best PPV of the year. The MITB matches have so many possible outcomes, and the fact that the winner could cash in the same night leads to potential surprises. Add the fact that the story behind Cena-Punk is the most intriguing build up to a championship match in years. If Punk were to win, who knows what happens next. The unknown makes it intriguing.

Destination X looks like it will be the best WRESTLING show that TNA has had since they said wrestling matters.

I am more interested in MITB right now, and by volume alone, they will outsell TNA tenfold. If you look at numbers throughout the year, TNA never outsells WWE, and it feels like MITB could draw in the casual fans as well.

Both PPV's are shaping up to be excellent, I am not sure which one I look forward to most.

Destination X looks to be top to bottom the best card TNA has put on in a very long time, every match has the potential to steal the show and I am expecting almost every match to reach minimum *** level. The only match that I am not looking forward to is Kendrick/Abyss and even then it seems very likely that Kendrick will be winning the title there which is awesome, I love Kendrick.

On the downside though the build for the PPV hasn't been that great. AJ/Daniels and Kendrick/Abyss has have been built well not so much for the other matches. Kaz/Joe is just Joe is pissed and they brawl, RVD/Lynn is just based solely off they had great matches in the past, lets do it again, Doug Williams match has no build, Ultimate X has no build. There is also the fact that a lot of the main matches we have seen in the past multiple times, the likes of RVD/Lynn, AJ/Daniels, Joe/Kaz and Kendrick/Abyss are all matches we have seen multiple times. Those are only small criticisms though as the wrestling on this show looks like it will be amazing.

MITB also looks like a great show. Both world title matches and both MITB matches look amazing and any of those four matches could be MOTYC if they are done right. There is also the fact that the build so far for Punk/Cena is has been nothing short of spectacular. There is also far more intrigue behind the main event than AJ/Daniels, will this really be Punks last match? Will he take the title elsewhere? Will Cena be fired? Will we see a MITB cash in? Another positive is that the MITB matches are wide open with lots of possible winners which makes the matches very exciting.

With the good comes the bad though. In this case in the form of two awful looking matches. The Divas match will be terrible, there is no doubt there, neither Diva has anything resembling talent and the match will suck. There is also the Henry vs. Show match, again this will suck both men are terrible in the ring and I can't remember the last time either of them had anything resembling a good match, at least the build for this match has been somewhat decent though.

So which one am I more excited for? I would still say MITB due the the better build as well as the potential for four MOTY contenders, but it is very close. Both PPVs look excellent and when also taking into account PWG's upcoming Eight show (card looks fucking stacked) July 2011 is a going to be a great month to be a wrestling fan.

Yeah it's not even close to me. On one side you have RVD vs Jerry Lynn who yes, put on some very good matches a decade ago, but do you really think it's going to be as good this much later? Then you have Daniels vs Styles for the 567364th time. Sure it'll be good, it always is. But do you really think it's going to be a classic if none of the others were? I mean, I know that they have had matches and I know they've been good, but I swear I can't even remember when these matches happened and I'm a stickler for details. Then you have the 4-Way spot fest, the Doug Williams invitation, Kaz vs Joe, and Abyss vs Brian Kendrick. I'm sorry, but none of these matches are worth my money.

Then on the other hand, you have what could either be the payoff or the next chapter in one of the most intriguing stories in years with this Cena vs Punk match, you have a shit Mark Henry Big Show match that will be "Bowling Shoe Ugly" but will still be entertaining, and the next chapter in the Orton/Christian series that has already been excellent. Not to mention 2 huge clusterfuck spot fest ladder matches featuring the best young guys in the business and if last year is any indication, we're definitely going to have a surprise or 2. Is someone going to cash in and win the WWE/WHC for the first time? Will Punk "leave" with the title? Sure Destination-X has a surprise in store with the Williams invitational thingy, but it's just going to end up being either a random X-Division name from the past or a guy within the company already. Not exactly anything huge.

So its an easy choice for me. Money in the Bank has had a superb build and has garnered my interest more than they have in a long time. TNA is just same old same old. MITB gets my money.

they are both going to be AMAZING cards, probably 2 of the most worth ordering in either brand minus Mania. Des X has some crap on the card, but to be fair MITB has only 3 matches I think worth a damn, though they SHOULD all be great. The three of course are the two MITB matches and cena punk. As for Des X, ultimate X will be great, sting is entertaining as hell right now, Aj Daniels will be entertaining, juxtapose that w/ RVD Lynn and it'll be a great blend of old and new. Kaz Joe is whatever, and Kendrick Abyss could be good but to be honest I'm only thinking that because I really hope they wouldn't put together such a mismatch otherwise. I'm looking forward to both PPVs, I wish i could afford them and not have to read results here and watch the shows after, but either way, for those watching, it'll be great.

good topic....both ppv's look good to me but im gonna have to go with Destination X for the ppv tht looks better to me because theres less predictablity here and its a whole ppv just for the x divison! plus the fatal 4 way ulimate x match for the contract should be insane! if i had to pick just 1 to watch id go with Destionation X it looks better, all the matches on the card look good to me (besides Joe vs Kaz....im sorry but i really cant get into a Samoa Joe match ) and as of right now Impact Wrestling is BETTER then WWE for weekly shows

Well this is an easy one for me. I lost all interest in WWE a couple of years ago so won't be watching money in the bank. Therefore I can only say Destination X. Although this is the least anticipated PPV of the year for me and it will really struggle to out do Slammiversary (PPV of the year).

The only match I'm really looking forward to is Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn. I'm not really to fussed about the rest of the card to be honest. Would loved to have seen AJ Styles vs. Kazarian but unfortunately Daniels and Samoa Joe will be competing against AJ and Kaz.

Destination X should be fun but I'm not really bothered about who will win the majority of the matches (whereas at Slammiversary I was rooting for a winner in every match) and that takes a lot away from a PPV IMO.
