It turns out I don't like Jeff Hardy very much at all

He is a bit overrated but hes probably the most over babyface in the WWE atm so it makes sense to push him. I quite like him personally, his promos can be god awful but i like to see the new inventive ways he can throw himself off high objects

Agreed, this guy is so over it is ridiculous. I think it helps him that he is always sort of an underdog and people hope he wins, but he always falls short or has bad luck.

jeff hardy is a great wrestler. he has a unique style and pulls of some of the most extreme moves. if you pull off extreme moves more than likely most of them are going to be botched.

And whose faults that? Jeff's been willing to do these stunts for years. After a certain amount of time, they'll become attached to you and that's what you'll be known for.

And there's no way in hell Punk is as sloppy as Jeff. No way.

Selby

You offer me in the neighborhood of $250,000/year + a percentage of my merchandise sales, and watch how much shit I jump off of, fly over, and dive through. The more he does these things, the more the fans get into him, the more they buy his shit, the more money he makes. Its basic wear in tear, because Jeff lives his extreme lifestyle outside of the ring. If I remember correctly he is a cycle cross competitor, which is why his ankles, knees, and wrists are weaker than they should be. Jolting up and down on a bike takes a toll on your body. So even outside of the ring he lives a rough life, but he’s getting paid for it in the ring, so why not continue? What’s that old saying? Don’t ever forget what got you into the party? For him, his style got him into the main event, and got the crowd behind him. GO JEFF WOOOWOOO WOOO

Never have I liked Jeff Hardy. In fact, every time his music hits, I groan and prepare myself for either the worst mic work or sloppiest match of the week.

His whole gimmick and character is repulsive, and the fact that so much of the WWE universe is so wildly behind him doesn't make it any better. His "misunderstood underdog" persona is by no means creative or intuitive.

In short, I seriously hope the talk of him taking a break from WWE are true.

Which 9 times out of 10 is usually the best match of the week.

I dont understand why you lot are criticsizing his style. Every Wrestler has his own unique spin on how they want to wrestle, this is just Jeffs. You haters make me laugh so much, I can imagine this getting as popular as ''Cena only knows 5 moves'' arguement thats being going on for years. Like him or loathe him, you cannot argue that Jeff does not deserve to be in the position he is in. I think that most of you are just upset that the mans a 2 time Champion where as your favorites have either not achieved anything yet or been released (e.g Kennedy)

Actually, I find the only reason that he in the main event status spot is because of the lack of talent that the WWE is putting on SmackDown!

SmackDown! Doesn't have many main event superstars anyways. They mostly just have, CM Punk, Edge, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio & Jeff Hardy. Even with these 5 superstars, only 3 are used in Main Events. Rey & Jericho are being used at mid-carders.

I can only hope WWE puts Matt Hardy, R-Truth, and John Morrison in the high mid-carders or main eventers statuses.

To deny each wrestler doesn't add their own spin to a performance would be an argument I know I wouldn't want to make. This "style of sloppiness" isn't exactly convincing me, however. Regardless, Jeff's style, and performances in general, simply do not appeal to me, and I have every right to say that. It is not so much his wrestling, but his character that I have a problem with.

The internet wrestling community was never really a fan of his wrestling skills a couple of years back, people always believed Matt Hardy deserved the push.

Now that Jeff Hardy's in the scene and way over, lots of people like him. He's new after all so that makes sense.

He's alright. I don't think too negatively of him, and I'm not going to overrate him either.

Jeff Hardy is like a car wreck. It's horrible and disgusting but you can't help but watch out of perverted curiousity. I literally cringe every single time I watch one of his matches before I fear for the guy he's wrestling. Jeff never seems to have a care in the world. He's either incredibly casual or incredibly careless with all of his moves. I laugh my ass off when people write it off as "his style."

Someone's style is wrestling mainly with power moves, submission tactics, technically with counters or even picking your spot for high risk offense. Just throwing your body into the wind with no concern for yourself or your opponent isn't a style: it's just flat out bad wrestling.

Jeff has been looking better over the past year and half. He's also been spending the past year and a half wrestling Triple H, Edge, Chris Jericho, Matt Hardy, MVP and CM Punk. What do all of these guys have in common? They're good to great wrestlers who are phenomenal at guiding others in the ring.

Jeff is someone who no doubt has that intangible "it" factor that so many people buzz about. He's unique. There's no one else like him. But that's just his personality and that's what he gets by on: a great personality with just passable wrestling talent. Sadly, in this day and age where more emphasis is put on personality than actual talent that's enough to make him a big superstar.

Oh, and just like a car wreck I'm sure that one day Jeff Hardy will seriously injure someone else because he's careless.

if jeff is the only wrestler who does the whisper in the wind then how can u say hes doing it wrong? i dont think hes overly sloppy ur just being too critical of the guy. jericho is sloppy and hes the best heel in the wwe today. plus think of all the things jeff has gone to his body though out his career. he is entertaining as hell. i agree that his mic skills could improve but he gets a huge pop everytime he comes to the ring. and isn't that the point. make the fans cheer the faces and boo the heels.

jeff hardy sucks. he's a spot monkey that cant wrestle, cut a decent promo, or stay clean apparently. i'm counting the days to when i won't have to fast forward thru him showing up on my tv. i know little kids and women love the guy and i'm sure he sells merchandise, but he's garbage. a glorified backyard wrestler. all i see is people talking about cenas limited moveset, but whens the last time jeff used something new in one of his matches? the guys a waste of air time that could be going to someone who isn't gonna bail on the company or get fired for his drug and attitude problems.

Personality? What? Jeff Hardy is a personality vacuum. He's fucking terrible on the mic, monotonous, boring and not funny. The only thing he has going for him is this druggy chic look and colours in his hair which the kids love.
As for his ring work, it's improved but then it could hardly have gotten any worse. He's just about co-ordinated his limbs these days but still looks sloppy, weak and can't put a smooth match with anyone, even his brother. He is the definition of style over substance and I'm waiting for the day when he leaves.

jeff hardy sucks.

Your entitled to your opinion.

he's a spot monkey that cant wrestle.

Yeah because all he does is jump off really high things, he has no mat based moves at all does he? Oh wait yes he does. While I will agree he does the top rope moves I dont understand how you can say he is just a spot monkey when he has proven that he can mat wrestle. Oh and you say he cant wrestle? People said the same thing about Cena but they were wrong about him and you are wrong about Jeff here.

cut a decent promo.

Wrong again. He can cut a decent promo, granted there not on the same level as The Rock and John Cena or even Edge but I have heard much worse.

or stay clean apparently.

Can he not??? when was his last violation? over a year ago? So he has been clean for a year and looks as if he is staying clean.

i'm counting the days to when i won't have to fast forward thru him showing up on my tv.

You must fast forward through alot of matches of the night then as Hardy is always in the match of the night.

i know little kids and women love the guy and i'm sure he sells merchandise.

Not just little kids and women, I know a fair few men that are fans of him. I am a 24 year old man who is proud to say that he is a fan of Jeff Hardy. Seriously when are you people going to stop witht the recycled Cena comments. By the way he sells LOTS of merchandise.

but he's garbage. a glorified backyard wrestler. all i see is people talking about cenas limited moveset, but whens the last time jeff used something new in one of his matches?.

Again thats your opinion and you are entitled to that, I disagree however. So what if he is a 'gloryfied backyard wrestler' the man must have talent to work his way from backyard wrestler to WWE and WH Champion. I forgot that the WWE just puts their main titles on men with no talent. When was the last time Jeff used something new in his matches? If you actually stopped fast forwarding through his matches you would see that he has recently added a fall forward suplex to his arsenal and against Matt Hardy he used a Sharpshooter and another submission. Seriously go compare hiss moves to him back in the 2000-2002 era and then come back to me.

the guys a waste of air time that could be going to someone who isn't gonna bail on the company or get fired for his drug and attitude problems.

I wouldn't say he is bailing on them in fact he signed a contract extension to help them out. He didnt have to do that, he could have said I know you wont have a top guy when I leave but fuck that I'm outta here but he didnt. He signed a short term contract to help out the business, this business that people say he has no passion for.

You might think its horrible and disgusting, but its entertaining as well. In Jeffs 13+ years of wrestling I have never heard a story about him injuring somebody so I think its fair to say people trust him in the ring.

He doesn't just do that though, he has developed a decent array of moves and can wrestle a solid match he can technical wrestle and used submissions before. His style isn't a just throw myself and see what happens style there is a method to his madness

and I think its fair to say that they have had their best matches for sometime with him also with maybe the exception of Jericho. All I am going to say is check out his matches in his first run and compare them to his matches now, he has improved massively and I dont think its who he is working with.

Has Matt Hardy got rid of his cast yet?

I dont understand how you can say he is just a spot monkey when he has proven that he can mat wrestle.

What? When has he proven he can mat wrestle? I'd like examples

He really can't. If you translated Khali, Jeff would just about be on his level.
