What movies are out there, that are just awful, but they're fun to watch, because of it?


The first one that came to mind for me, was Battlefield Earth. I think we're all in agreement, that's it pretty terrible. But, I enjoy watching it. The story was great. The telling of the story, and the acting, we just awful, however. This cast, in any other movie, would win awards. John Travolta, Forrest Whitaker, and Barry Pepper are all great actors, and couldn't save this movie. In fact, they kind of helped it suck.

Anything put out by Troma is fucking horrible, but great at the same time. As much as it pains me to say this (given that I try to act as pretentious as possible when it come to my taste in films ), I try to watch a Troma movie a month. In my DVD collection, I have all of The Toxic Avengers, Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD, Killer Condom (although Troma only distributed this sleazy German gem), Redneck Zombies (another film that Troma only distributed), and Tromeo and Juliet.

I don't think I really need to elaborate on these films, as their titles say a lot about them and the only way to really get a feel for what Troma's all about is to watch one of their films (although, I would avoid Poultrygeist...I thought that film sucked serious ass...period).

Robin Hood: Men in Tights

wow it's just sooo absurd...but i cant help but watch it over and over everytime it's on...just something about the stupid movie that just kills me.

The only one I could think of is Rocky 5. This is definitely the worst film to come from the Rocky series, but I still enjoyed the hell out of this movie. I mean, it's so corny, the kid and Don King impersonator were so terrible, and the music chosen was beyond ridiculous… yet, I still enjoy this piece of shit every time I watch it. Why? I honestly don't know.

Cabin Fever was so damn ridiculous. It was probably one of the worst horror movies I have seen ever, but yet I laughed my ass off the whole time. It was almost as if the director half way through the movie decided "You know what? This movie is going to suck so bad, let's just start throwing in some comedy and really fuck this up." Never saw a horror movie that intended to be comedic like that, pure genius if you ask me. Sadly I was expecting a somewhat decent horror movie (if it is even possible anymore) and got the pile of crap that was Cabin Fever.

I will say this though, at the end with the old man at the store sitting on the porch playing banjo while four thugged out men sat rapping to it? Fucking hilarious, I think I spewed my drink everywhere at the end.
