Is WWE trying to bring back older viewers?

As an old wrestling fan (been watching professional wrestling since the late 60's), let me clue you youngsters in, instead of watching you guys flogging around trying to figure out what we want. This whole "attitude or Hogan era" thing was nothing more than a joke. It was nothing more than turning professional wrestling into a prime time cartoon program. I guarantee that the direction that the WWE is going in, is not an attempt to bring back older fans. If it is, it isn't going to work
We want realistic story lines, realistic looking wrestlers, and realistic looking moves. I read someone in this thread mention that the Hogan Era was the Golden Age of Wrestling. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The flashy pyrotechnics and 10,000 fan arenas do nothing to improve the product. The Golden Age of Wrestling was the small productions that travelled around to do shows in armories, high school gyms, and other intimate areas where you felt like part of the show.
