Is WWE planning a 30 year Hulkamania bonanza?

I think The boss is just a little bit optimistic about Hulk Hogan's chances of coming back to WWE.

He may well make an appearance but winning the belt is nothing more than a hulkamaniac's pipe dream, and probably Hogan's too.

Furthermore if Hulk Hogan does wrestle, lots of fans will be quite dissapointed because he's not going to be doing the leg drop, he's said himself that his leg dropping days are over. He'll probably pull his groin if he tries the big boot too.
Plus I don't think that many fans know that the axe bomber clothesline was a finishing move of his in Japan.

That's what we're dealing with if he does wrestle so if you are a hulkamaniac as I admittedly am and I'm sure deep down every wrestling fan is and if they think they're not they're just lying to themselves - get ready to be a little bit dissapointed and brace yourself for the realization that Hogan is no longer exactly an immortal force in the ring.

You might say I'm being a bit harsh on him as a hulkamaniac myself but the line does have to be drawn somewhere, it's just life.

That's all the more reason for him to win the world title. He doesn't have to use the legdrop to win the title. He didn't use it when he pinned the Undertaker in 1991, He only used it to win two of his World titles in WCW, he didn't use it to win either of his AWA World titles, his IWGP World title or when he pinned Harley Race for the NWA World title.

Those who say that HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN should do a run in and drop the leg are actually (and unknowingly) asking him to do more damage to his back than working a match without dropping the leg. Sure fans would like to see the legdrop, but if they can't have that, then let them cheer HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN on to one more World title.

So true.

He maybe past his prime, but there is a big difference between being past your prime and being washed up. Very few wrestlers are big enough, worthy enough, over enough, iconic enough, famous enough and sustainable enough to celebrate 30 years at the top. It's a once in a lifetime event that no matter what shape HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN is in Vince will want to milk for all the money he can get out of it.

No... it's Pro Wrestling.

One word., "money". That's all that matters here. Those marks who think it's about title credibility, realism, or being fair to younger talent are fools. If that was true there would be no MITB, Undertaker, streak, no crazy characters, no celebrities no 5 foot nothing champions etc. It's about marketing and money and this 30 year HULKAMANIA bonanza is an opportunity to make a fortune.

Do you honestly think that there is money to be made from a "Hulkamania Bonanza"? Dedicating the biggest show of the year to one name that hasn't been in the company for in something like 7 years.

I understand Hogan is a massive name but I don't think there is the same appeal to see Hogan. Yes, celebrate his wonderful career but to dedicate all of Wrestlemania and let him win the WWE Title is ridiculous. If Hulk Hogan was in the main event of Wrestlemania then a lot of people wouldn't buy the PPV.

I honestly think that there is more money to be made from Steve Austin because we know he is still relatively young and has been withdrawn from wrestling. Hogan has had multiple returns since his prime and the stint in TNA. No-one is going to pay to see Hulk Hogan.

I want to see Hogan at Wrestlemania but not as the main-attraction.

I love Hulk Hogan as much as the next Hulkamaniac, brother. The only way I see Hulk Hogan winning a Championship Title Belt in the WWE in 2014 would be if the WWE decided to rename the World Championship, and make it the WWE Legends Championship or the WWE Hall Of Fame Championship where only Hall Of Famers or Legends can compete for it. Then again, even that is a stretch. It would be a cool sight to see Hogan immediately spray paint the World Championship Title Belt with the nWo letters…and then hand it over to John Cena!!

Make him the last rumble entrant and get eliminated by a heel. Then in someone's corner at mania. Please, no real matches. Just something like mania where his music can hit, he can pose and strut, throw a few over, then get eliminated.

Well this is it. Tomorrow (Thursday) is January 23, 2014 - the 30th anniversaryof the night HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN defeated the Iron Sheik to win his first WWF World title. According to the latest buzz the creative plans for HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN have been finalized. This announcement comes at a convenient time. There's currently no word on when he will be returning but seeing as how the Royal Rumble is the first event after January 23 that seems a likely time and place for Real American to play and the red and yellow to appear.
