EC3 with a stable behind him of Rhino, Ezekiel Jackson, and Snitsky? The King Mo involvement is tacked on and Dixie is pretty much useless but EC3 has legit star capability. Leading a stable of big men to dominate the organization certainly has potential. Snitsky and Jackson could make for a solid big man tag team, something the company can certainly use. Rhino being a former TNA World Champ also adds an extra layer of credibility to the entire situation.

The Sanada/Muta feud may not put a lot of butts in seats in the United States but it certainly doesn't hurt an overall card. Plus, Storm mixing it up with a legit legend in the business isn't hurting him any. Speaking of not putting butts in seats but making for a better overall product, the Knockouts seem to have a purpose again and they have enough credibility to add to a card as well.

Lashley as world champ gives the belt credibility, even if a Lashley/Aries program doesn't particularly excite me. Within the confines of TNA it makes sense and maybe it will surprise everyone. If both men play their roles well when it comes to the in-ring competition then this could make for an unexpected classic.

Low-Ki being back doesn't hurt, Sam Shaw is a good character, and Hardyz/Wolves is certainly a match that would pull a good draw for ROH, so why not TNA? Roode being consistently pushed can only help TNA even if I'm not sold on MVP's instant jump to main event talent. The ECW reunion, of sorts, doesn't interest me at all either but at least they got the guys that can still wrestle.

So what do you think, is TNA heading in a better direction?

No matter how well the matches might be, TNA is still faced with the biggest problem they could possibly have: no drawing power. It doesn't matter how good your product is if nobody is watching. You have to give them a reason to tune in first. Certainly the TNA brand isn't enough to draw fans. This was something that HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN tried to fix when he brought in guys like Ric Flair, Jeff Hardy, RVD, The Nasty Boys and the nWo. He was trying to give TNA a number of recognizable personalitiesto help bring in viewers who would then get to see the rest of the TNA roster (despite haters claiming that he was just bringing in his friends). Unfortunately TNA failed in the same area they have always failed in that they failed to advertise. Just like I said before, if you don't advertise then it doesn't matter what kind of a product you have.

Now the TNA roster - talented as it may be - has no drawing power. In fact, they give more credit to their silly gimmick ring than their wrestling. Will they survive? Sure. I see no reason why they wouldn't. But they sorely missed the boat on a chance to become the legitimate competition to WWE by being to stingy to advertise. When HOLLYWOOD HULK HOGAN commented that TNA needed a boat load of money a lot of IWC marks out there got mad and claimed that he was trying to break TNA's budget. But WWE didn't get to where it is by having a budget. They got their because Vince invested every cent he had into marketing his brand. That's what TNA should have done when they had the stars. I'm not sure if it would work now.

I somewhat agree with you Boss but Hogan did it the wrong way. You don't try and take on the big dig face to face when you are clearly under matched. They did have some good ideas but it isn't like he brought in Punk or Cena, he brought in a recently retired wrestler in Flair, someone who hadn't been on tv in years in RVD, Hall and Waltman(seriously?) - no one of interest for a modern audience and with limited name value.

I think TNA is starting down a good road. I think they have done some dumb things but they have a solid roster and filming in places like NYC is helping. Is it perfect? Not close but it is getting better which is more than I can say about wwe. Given the choice, I'll stick with TNA right now.

One thing people seem to forget is that WWE has been around for 50+ years. TNA has only been around for roughly 12. People who say TNA will never compete with WWE, will never be like WWE, never be as good as WWE, etc., need to just wait. WWE took at least 20 years before they got good. Before that, they were just another territory. TNA is definitely on the right track. Give it a chance. If I could watch TNA right now I probably would.

Do we seriously need to start a thread asking if TNA looks good every two weeks? Go discuss some actual aspects about the company. Like the Hardys and 3D returning instead of beating dead horses.
