In my opinion, these are the Eras :
2002-2006 The Jarrett Era : TNA at the beginning. There were many fans that were hungry for an alternative to WWE and it seemed like TNA would be it. They got lots of praise for the X Division and providing a platform for unknown wrestlers, but there was a negative side. Jarrett, as the founder of the company, placed himself firmly in the main event scene. First he was a heel, then a face, then a heel again. Jarrett won the TNA World Title 6 times in this period.
2007-2009 The Angle Era : Kurt Angle's arrival in September 2006 was shocking and the kind of thing that TNA needed to move forward. Jeff Jarrett lost the World Title to Sting at Bound For Glory in October 2006 and took some time off to take care of his sick wife. Meanwhile, Angle had an epic 3-match series with Samoa Joe. As time went on TNA got even better. Their TV show Impact became a 2 hour program on SPIKE, The Knockouts Championship was created for the female wrestlers, and Kurt Angle won 3 TNA World Titles
2010-2013 The Hogan Administration : The arrival of Hulk Hogan was supposed to be the moment when TNA could really wage war with WWE.
Not only did Hogan arrive, but also Ric Flair, Eric Bischoff, Jeff Hardy, Ken Anderson, RVD, and others. Unfortunately, their Monday Night War with WWE was a humiliating defeat. Many TNA fans feel that this is the period when the company began to decline.
2014 - ? If TNA survives, then this period will be remembered as one of transition. AJ Styles and many other mainstays left. Some of the newcomers like EC3 have become successful. Whether or not this transitional period will be a success is the big question.
