I'm going to fucking miss William Regal.
I see new faces, but that doesn't mean that I feel the US Title hunt is going to be any more interesting than it was before. If Matt Hardy hadn't gotten hurt, who knows how his push would've gone? Furthermore, I'm going to actually miss Regal challenging for the US Belt. He's a fine wrestler, and a true ring general.
And that's the one thing you're missing from the US Title hunt, is a ring general. I suppose you could count The Big Show, and that's all well and good, but I feel the belt's a bit beneath him. He's already worn it, and after getting a victory over Cena last week, what sense does it make to relegate him to a secondary title the next week? And either than that, I can't name a legit ring general to call the matches out there. Can I believe in Swagger calling spots during a match, or in Kofi telling a ref they're getting all of their shit in? No, I can't see someone being the guiding hand amongst all of the clusterfuck we're all prepared to see. I suppose Carlito could be... It'd be quite interesting to see Carlito back in the US Title hunt. He is an established vet, and knows how to call spots, so I suppose I could see that.
Just ad addendum as well, Sam.... You forgot guys DiBiase. If he's really going to branch out like fans think he should, he should really start with the US Strap. Legacy itself isn't doing much at the moment, and Randy is kinda becoming a stagnant WWE Champ (again, before you jump down my throat, read my comparison between Scar of The Lion King and Randy Orton in a thread titled "Randy Orton's Crappy Push". It will enlighten). So seeing Ted go after a belt would be interesting.
Otherwise, it's new faces... But I have no idea where these matches will go, quite frankly
