Dolph Ziggler: US Champion. But Who's Next?

I voted other because I feel that, if that short Zack Ryder appearance on Raw means an eventual push for the man, it'll be to the US Title. Of course, they may have just been yanking the Zack Pack's chain there, but I can only hope that their not that dickish.

If not Zack, than probably Evan Bourne, which would be great because I love the guy. Of course, this depends on where they see Riley going after this feud. If he were to win MitB, though I don't think he will, then he'd probably just skip over the US Title, at least for now, then maybe go back to it after a failed cash-in.

you can bet it's gonna be A-Ry. he's proven that he can go in a fued with a top guy, now they're gonna add som credentials to him. expect him to be U.S. Champ at or before Survivor Series.

I think it needs to be Riley. Let Ziggler hold the title for a few months because at the moment it's way too soon for Riley to win a title but in November let Riley get the gold.

I think ultimately Alex Riley is going to be Ziggler's next major feud and that Riley is going to eventually win the US title off Ziggler. WWE failing to provide Riley with mic time on this most recent Raw practically guaranteed that they aren't going to put the MITB briefcase on Riley this Sunday. Some on here thought Riley may have been in with a decent chance of winning but it seems to me like he isn't thought of as ready by the WWE to hold the briefcase and honestly, rightly so.

I see Dolph, unfortunately finishing off his feud with Kofi in a final match in the near future after MITB and then moving onto a relatively short, filler feud with Evan Bourne in order to continue raising Ziggler's credibility and allowing Riley to finish off his feud with the Miz which, apparently in my opinion is far from over. Riley's currently red hot due to his feud with Miz and the next logical feud to insert him into would be with the wrestler who's managed by possibly the biggest heat magnet in the entire company.

Also, I wouldn't put it past the WWE to switch the title to another heel wrestler without having Ziggler drop it to another face. I don't think that guys like Ziggler, Riley and Kofi particularly need the US title to remain relevant. An engaging personal feud with hotly contested wrestling matches would be more than enough to keep them from losing appeal. Someone such as Jack Swagger or McIntyre could heavily use the US title, perhaps winning it in a triple threat match against Ziggler and one of the face US title contenders. I think it's unlikely for either of these guys to win the belt but I think they would be the ones to benefit from such a win the most.

I think Miz though is going to be the next long time holder (which could mean anything considering that WWE likes to play hot potato with the intercontinental belt) of the intercontinental championship.

Like it or not, Miz is not really in the picture anymore for the big title, and once his feud with riley is over I can't see him being put back into the main events yet. However, WWE will certainly want to keep Miz on TV and his cocky heel persona, and the best way for that is to give him a somewhat long run with another title. I think he would be the perfect fit for the intercontinental title right now.

Of course, he's not going to take it off of ziggler, so either there will have to be a transitional champion like bourne or kofi to get it to the miz, or the miz can win it in a fatal four way or something.

But I do think the best thing for Miz and the title is to give him a good run with it, so I'm going to go out on a ledge here and predict he's the next serious title holder.
