Is Nexus Hurting NXT2?

DaleBryan

Occasional Pre-Show
Now assuming NXT season 2 guys are going to be on Raw or maybe smackdown...
Now for people like me... I dont watch NXT at all, not season one or season two, but during season one, some of the season one guys(nexus) were making a few small appearances on Raw and Smackdown. Hell Otunga even hosted Raw one night. But W/ the Nexus angle and what not, I have not seen one NXT2 guys on Raw or smackdown.

What I'm saying is when NXT1 ended i at least knew who a few of the guys were Barret, Otunga, Bryan(albeit hes gone now)... But When NXT2 is done and they go to a show, likely smackdown, with the lack of showtime, outside there own show, they've gotten, this will surely affect them.

Let me know what you guys think.. agree? disagree?

well alctually i remeber seeing maguilicutty(i think thats how u spell it:shrug:)with kofi at ringside with him but yeah i think that they are taking time from NXT2 now this might be good as when and hopefully NXT2 goes to smackdown cause they will start fresh and not anyone will now them which means that they will have to climb the ladder and actually see if they can get over when they are not on a show that does not revolve around them

The problem is, this group lacks stars, Lucky Cannon is a terrible, generic WWE babyface.
Joe Hennig does not impress me at all, he tries to hard to be a good guy.
They gave the best guy, Husky Harris a damn jobber name.
They make Low Ki look like an idiot by dressing him in pink

Riley might be the only one who has been legit even then I don't like his generic jock heel crap

I really don't care for any of these season two rookies. On season one I actually cared for some of them like Bryan Danielson. I hate Alex Riley by the way.

As for NXT season 2 wrestlers appearing on Raw and Smackdown, I haven't really seen them on there. I saw Micheal Mcgillicuty with Kofi one time and Percy Watson with MVP on Superstars.

Well, personally, i think Joe Hennig (Michael McGillicutty) will end up being a star, even if he didnt appear on Smackdown with Kofi or not. McGillicutty can become a star even if he just joins up with Cody Rhodes or Ted Dibiase and forms a Tag Team. I think McGillicutty has star written all over him. He can wrestle and speak. As for the others, i am not big on any of them except of course McGillicutty, I like Alex Riley too. Riley isnt great in the ring, but he CAN speak on that mic. I also like Husky Harris. He may not look great, but he can also put on a match and Kaval is also entertaining to watch. The others are just there. I think the four i mentioned have bright futures. Riley and Kaval could easily win a US or IC title soon and Husky Harris can put on a feud and McGillicutty in time will be a future World or WWE champion.

I actually think season 2 will end up having more long-term stars than season 1. If you look @ the Nexus, Wade Barrett is really the only guy has looks like he can be a star. Sheffield is interesting, but the others are somewhat forgettable. On season 2, Alex Riley has all the tools. Great look, good on the mic, solid in the ring. I don't like his gimmick that much, but you can see he has huge potential. Same with Hennig. Husky Harris is the most interesting to me. He's different-he stands out. He definitely needs to work on his mic skills, but he's good in the ring, and I like his persona. Kaval is great in the ring but horrible on the mic. I think he would've been a perfect addition to the SES. He wouldn't need to talk, he could just take orders from Punk & kick ass while he worked on his mic skills.

Nexus will always overshadow season 2 to a certain extent because they were immediately put into a feud with the face of the company. But the season 2 guys can still become big time players. They'll just have to take a different route.
