Is It Wrong To Enjoy Racist Music?

I'm not one of those people who actually listens to the lyrics. With most songs the singers could just make random gurgling noises for all I care.

But I'm a fan of punk and a good percentage of it is racial related. Nasty bigoted lyrics about white people being the master race. But I like the tunes, man. Is it wrong?

I don't see anything wrong with it, as you long as you don't take it seriously. To be honest, I probably would have told you, yes, you're wrong to like this music, a year or so ago. However, I listen to German Rap (I can't understand a word of it), and I just found out the two of my favorite German rappers (Fler and Bushido) are popular amongst German Neo-Nazis, and that their lyrics can be interpreted as espousals of extremely right-wing causes. So, it would be hypocritical for me to say that it is wrong. As long as it does nothing but make you want to move or beat out a rhythm to it, then you're fine.
