iPhone 5 specs released...consider me underwhelmed.

So, the biggest innovations the iPhone 5 brings to the table is a 4" screen and 4G LTE technology. Highly innovative...if it were still 2010. The iPhone 5's 2012 (almost 13) technology is at the same level as middle class Android phones had more than 2 years ago. Yet, the iSheep will flock to buy this already technologically outdated overpriced piece of shit. Hey iFanboys, you could have had this stuff a few years ago by getting a real phone.

The real question is, will Apple make sure that their product is flawed so that they can force you to buy an extra accessory so the phone works like they did with the last model?

I was thinking along the lines of intentionally putting the areal where people were going to end up blocking it with their palm so they'd have to buy a bumper.

They successfully got sued for that one.

Meh, I'm a big supporter of the idea of Linux, don't like the way Apple does business, but the fact is there's a lot of other things going on in the iPhone 5 you're not giving credit for.

The A6 processor, the camera which ranks at the very top of cell phone cameras, the iOS software which fully integrates the social experience, not to mention the ability to actually receive OS updates when they're released, something Android phones struggle mightily with. Hell, some phones are still on Froyo.

I just don't think you'll ever see a true innovation in the cell phone market for a while. I think you'll see progressive advancements, but nothing mindblowing like the iPhone had for a few years.

I don't why anybody buys these things on a constant basis. Maybe it's because they're Apple but they're plenty of other smartphones that can do majority of what the Iphone can do without constantly having the buy another version like what a year or less later?

I'm with you man. I mean the new IOS features are the same things you can do when you jailbreak it anyway. The cool thing about the new one is the 4 inch screen and the fact that it's 4GLTE. And this is coming from a Best Buy Salesperson lol.

My upgrade was a couple months ago. Now I have to decide between iPhone and S3.

Go with the iPhone 5. The GSIII has a bigger screen, that's really the only advantage.

Sly pointed out things Davi ignored - A6, awesome camera (Facetime is much improved), 4G LTE. The 4G is an underrated component, given how fast the internet works on newer Android phones.

It's the best phone available. There's also a good deal of comfort when purchasing an Apple product - the first batch isn't guaranteed to have issues.

Not only that, but I've had an iPhone since the beginning, so all of my contacts would have to be transferred manually which would suck. Not to mention, the operating system is built for the hardware, which is the opposite of Android which sees hardware built for the operating system. The reason this is important is that the OS can be fine tuned towards the specs of the hardware, unlike the Android.

I like the Galaxy S3. A lot. I'm really going to have to think about it.

Contracts transferred manually? Like, you punching them in? The place you buy the phone should use their Cellebrite machine to transfer that shit. If they don't, buy it elsewhere.

For a fee. No thank you. AT&T already screws customers out of their money enough, no need to give them money to do what I can do for free.

I know, for a fact, Best Buy Mobile and Target Mobile charge you nothing to transfer contacts, pictures, videos, etc. Corporate stores do because they can.

I always do my business with AT&T store. My cousin worked there for years, so I always gave her my business. I haven't purchased a phone since she left.

Sly, Google Contacts is the way to go. Best hour of my life I've ever spent was putting all my contacts into Google. It made getting a new phone a hell of a lot easier.

I will give Apple credit for several things.

1) The iPhone used to be completely revolutionary. It changed the game for smart phones, it really did.

2) Their cameras and retina display are second to none. I have an iPad as well as a Droid Bionic, and there isn't even a comparison. If you want a phone for pictures/video and a sexy better-than-real-life display, Apple is the way to go.

3) Apple sells because its uniform. Consistent. When you buy an Apple product you know what you're going to get, and you know what it's going to look like/ how it's going to function. Their support team is phenomenal because they have no 3rd party bits and pieces. You know that the same care and detail and sexy finish that goes into the Macbook line goes into the phones and devices, and the quality is always A+++. They look great, function better, and are consistently some of the longest-lasting things you can buy.

All that being said, I love my Droid. I love the freedom of the Android and Google market. I l love being able to play Pokemon on the train. I love that most of the games and apps I'd pay for on Apple are free or incredibly cheep. And I looooove love love having a dedicated back button. It's not something you think about as an Apple user, but when I use my iPad these days I do find myself missing the "back" button. It just makes life easier.

That being said, I wish I had iTunes. Amazon is cool, but when my whole music library is on iTunes, there's no way I'm switching it over to Amazon. Their Cloud storage is also kind of a pain in the ass to work with. And I do wish I had the retina display and a better camera, although mine work just fine. And I do wish I had the elitist feeling that comes along with owning an iPhone. I changed from Macbook Pro to Dell XPS14z this year, and while I'd never go back I do miss the feeling you get when you whip that bad boy out in Starbucks.

No thank you. I never cared for any apple products. For what they charge they should offer a way bigger screen.

I owned an iphone 4, swapped it for a samsung galaxy and $150 cash. It was the best deal I ever made I think.

Don't count on that. They're getting sued. HTC hold numerous patents on the technology.
