Murfish

is losing his edge
Sometimes I go out of my way to avoid sentences that warrant colons and semicolons because I don't want to get it wrong.

Other times I realize that even if I'm wrong, no one will call me out.

Right now I'm thinking that I should just go ahead and write the way I usually would.

If anyone tries to correct my grammar, I will kill them(red rep).

I've nearly got sacked from my job twice for getting semi-colons wrong; I pay little attention to detail on here.

Colons are used for a few things. The only case that I use it for is kind of like a cause-effect statement.

I'm never going to be able to read your posts with that sig. I tried to read the opener twice, just can't do it.

Colons are easy, and I know it was wrong Murfish, like I said, I don't even look at the screen while I'm typing on here most of the time.

Yes, I have been suspended from work twice for bad grammar.

I was just poking fun, Tasty. You know you're in my top five(probably top two for wrestling).

That's ridiculously funny for the suspension thing.

I use whichever punctuation I think is appropriate for the sentence. So I pretty much make up the grammar rules as I go.

I know you were, my answer wasn't supposed to look like I was on the defensive. I know, the suspensions were for some shit reasons too. I've got an A* in English GCSE, for crying out loud!

In response to the original post: Same here. It's the apostrophes that always get me.
